About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

I waited years for this and was hit with more disappointment than when fallout 76 came out. If it was its own thing then it be a great step in the right directions for a true VTMB 2. I did find combat fun and I really enjoyed it. Every other aspect of the game I found it souless. I know some people loved the flash back sections the most. They made me want to tear my eyes out due to boredom. Honestly even with the DLC and updates nothing they do can make this what everyone wanted it to be, hell even what it initially was meant to be. Id give anything for the original game that was planed and developed to come out. Its story just seemed so much more fun. Initially this game was so unoptimized it was a pain. Added to the frustration of me trying to enjoy it. I've yet to try it again after a hardware upgrade but I struggle to give it another go
it just feels boring like how is this fun i gave it a chance feel like i wasted my money
This is no sequel to VTMB Maybe will buy it again for a dollar

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Review So far, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been a pretty enjoyable experience. The story isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's also far from boring. It keeps you interested enough to see what happens next, and there are some entertaining moments along the way. As a game, I'd say it's solid. I picked it up for €29.99, and at that price I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The combat, exploration, and RPG elements are enjoyable enough to keep me playing, even if some aspects feel a bit rough around the edges. That said, I completely understand why many fans are disappointed. The original Bloodlines is a cult classic, and this sequel doesn't really reach the same heights. Like many others, I was expecting a true sequel that would build upon everything that made the first game special and perhaps offer something even bigger. For me, that's the biggest issue: it's not a bad game, but it doesn't quite feel like the sequel many of us waited years for. If you're expecting another masterpiece on the level of the original, you'll probably be disappointed. However, if you go in with realistic expectations and can find it on sale, there's still a fun RPG here worth playing. One thing I would add is that players who never experienced the original Bloodlines might actually enjoy Bloodlines 2 more than longtime fans. They won't constantly compare it to the first game or notice all the areas where the original did things better, whether that's the writing, atmosphere, characters, or RPG mechanics. Because of that, newcomers may find it easier to appreciate Bloodlines 2 for what it is rather than what it could have been. For veterans of the first game, however, it's hard not to compare the two, and that's where much of the disappointment comes from. Final Verdict: Worth buying on sale, definitely not worth full price. A decent vampire RPG that can be entertaining, but it struggles to live up to the legacy of the original Bloodlines.
I finished the main story once, and honestly, I'm completely fed up with the absurd amount of bugs. While I didn't get any hard crashes or freezes, I got stuck in the textures literally hundreds of times. To top it off, the ending was a massive disappointment — it felt incredibly rushed and lazy. The game is definitely not worth full price. Only grab it if it's on a major sale.
That's a wrap on Bloodlines 2. As a "Bloodlines 2" it's dreadful, as a "video game" on its own merits its mediocre at best, but I cannot understate how invested and engaged I was with the narrative, and satisfied with its culmination. Wildly fun story here. There is no immersive sim, role playing (beyond dialogue), or adjacent vision you'd expect from a Bloodlines successor. The scope of world engagement is limited, and the relationship it forms with the player is rigid. It does not cultivate a robust experience of immersion, by design. But it does succeed in establishing a wildly intriguing VtM double mystery right from the start, meticulously develops it across multiple time periods, embraces long form character driven storytelling, and avoids haphazardly solving its plot threads to replace them with others or shift gears. Some narrative threads, characters, and fundamental ideas are disappointingly undercooked. I'd have preferred a tone a little less cartoonish and soft at times. While I came around on playing as an Elder, I would have preferred the game err from being a hero power fantasy. There's work to be done. But I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy it for what it was. Tightened up, embracing linearity, and called something else, I think this would have been more readily accepted. More robust and faithful Bloodlines in design, enriched and deeper character and plot development, freedom of role playing, total immersion in the world, and man you'd have had a hell of a successor. I've long made my peace that Bloodlines 2 as it should be doesn't exist. It may never have existed, honestly. This isn't even a woeful immitaiton. It's a completely different game with the branding seared on. It's not even particularly good to play. But there's a genuinely great story in here worth following, if you can stomach the framework in which it's told.
I would call this a narrative action game not really an RPG similiar to Assassins Creed series. Problem is the narrative isn't interesting for me, the story is obviously written by female writers to appeal to feminine sensibilities such as the usual all power players in the game are women, men are subservient, weak , gay or villains. It's a tragic trope nowadays. Combat isn't great either , enemies are hit sponges. Can't recommend this to anyone.
I... like this game. It's not really a Bloodlines game imo. I think it doesn't scratch the same itches that the first Bloodlines did. I think the original Bloodlines game really gave you a lot of choices as well as sinking you into the World of Darkness. My biggest gripe though. Is a simple one to fix. I am femme presenting, but I identify as non binary. And a problem I see with a lot of games/shows/etc is that when you want something to be "gender neutral," it really just means "masculine." There isn't a single dress or skirt or girlie thing I can wear in this game. I shouldn't have to rely on mods to give my character an outfit that I feel comfortable in. I just want to wear a skirt or a dress. It's why I loved Bloodlines (and the only way I would EVER play a Tremere); you had cutesy little outfits. Now that we've come a long way in game development, we can customize our characters to a lot fuller extent. I've played 6 hours of this, but I like RPGs because of the diversity in character customization. You have only masculine choices in this one, and it's disappointing.
