About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

TL:DR: Solid game, had fun, a solid 6.8-7.1/10. Plenty to be desired but you will have fun and you will want to play more. I have bought this in Premium Edition on Summer Sale, paying half of the price was exactly the right amount for what you are getting. But! As the game itself, it's nice to see that Vampire got a new entry and no longer we had to rely on fanbase patched Vampire: The Masquerade. Is this the great game? Is this a great entry to the series? It is not. It is not a great game BUT it's a solid game that has a nice story that well... sometimes drags a little bit, especially if you're doing a second run... Some choices are kind of too forced which locks you with a certain ending even if you've hoped for something else. It's a solid, solid, solid game which will bring you plenty of fun, plenty of fun characters and different ways to approach fights, story, dialogues etc. If this game is on sale, in the state that it is right now - get it. Full price? Would not recommend. Anyways, do not get pushed away from this game with negative reviews, try it, play it, get an opinion yourself and my opinion is that this game is definitely worth playing, worth trying BUT get it on sale.
Стандартизированный, упрощенный современный экшен, который пытается угодить массовому рынку за счет урезания ролевых элементов.
Bloodlines name wasted on this middling game. Buy it if you absolutely crave playing in this specific universe. Otherwise, I can't/won't really recommend it.
good story/writing/acting. gameplay is a little "meh".
хуже чем посредственность ...
The original Bloodlines blew me away with its atmosphere—from the gothic, crowded club in a converted church to the grounded, tragic vibe of the beachside thin-bloods, it fully transported me into its dark underground scene. Bloodlines 2 trades that deep, gritty immersion for action. Instead of feeling like a cool, sexy vampire navigating the subculture, you’re an Elder sent out to kick ass. It doesn’t feel like a true spiritual successor to the first game, but if you treat it as its own thing, it’s not bad—I still had fun mindlessly gliding across rooftops and tearing through mobs.
As a proud Giovanni from the tabletop RPG, I wanted this game to succeed. I really did. **The Good:** * The story is decent. * There is a genuine attempt to recreate the atmosphere of the original Bloodlines. * Disciplines are handled reasonably well. **The Bad:** * The price. This is not a full-price game, especially when it can be completed in a single day. * The graphics look a generation behind. * The animations often feel stiff and outdated. * The detective storyline drags on far longer than it should. The biggest problem is that the game constantly reminds you of what it could have been instead of what it actually is. It feels like the developers were handed a project nobody wanted to touch and were told to make the best of it. Unfortunately, the result is a game that never rises above "just okay." There are glimpses of potential everywhere, but they're buried under dated presentation, questionable design choices, and a lack of polish. As a fan of Vampire: The Masquerade, I wanted to love this game. Instead, I spent most of my playthrough thinking about replaying Bloodlines from 2004. I bought this at 50% off and still feel like I paid too much. At $10, I'd call it a decent curiosity for fans. At its current price, I can't recommend it.
Good game. Would hope for more side quests though.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, developed by The Chinese Room and published by Paradox Interactive, revives one of the most beloved names in role-playing gaming by transporting players into a dark and dangerous version of Seattle ruled from the shadows by vampire factions. Built upon the rich lore of the World of Darkness universe, the game places players in the role of a powerful elder vampire awakening in a city on the verge of chaos. The result is a narrative-driven action RPG that combines supernatural politics, mystery, and personal survival in a setting where every decision can influence relationships and alter the balance of power. One of the game's most compelling features is its depiction of Seattle as a living supernatural ecosystem. Rather than serving as a simple backdrop, the city becomes an active participant in the story. Hidden agendas, territorial disputes, and centuries-old rivalries shape every district and encounter. As players move through the city, they are drawn deeper into conspiracies involving rival vampire clans and influential figures who seek to control the future of the undead population. The atmosphere consistently reinforces the feeling that danger lurks behind every conversation and around every corner. The narrative is built around investigation and intrigue as much as action. Bloodlines 2 embraces the themes that have long defined the Vampire: The Masquerade setting, including manipulation, secrecy, and the struggle to maintain one's identity while wielding immense power. Dialogue choices and interactions play an important role in shaping the player's journey, often presenting situations where diplomacy, intimidation, or deception can be just as valuable as brute force. The central mystery provides a strong foundation for the story, encouraging players to uncover hidden truths while navigating a web of conflicting loyalties. Combat delivers the fantasy of being a supernatural predator. Vampiric abilities allow players to move with extraordinary speed, unleash devastating attacks, and manipulate enemies using powers that go far beyond ordinary human capabilities. Encounters feel energetic and brutal, emphasizing the raw strength and unnatural talents of the protagonist. Different powers and playstyles create opportunities for experimentation, allowing players to approach situations through direct confrontation, stealth, or strategic use of supernatural abilities. Visually, the game excels at creating a dark urban atmosphere. Rain-soaked streets, neon lights, towering architecture, and shadowy interiors combine to create a memorable setting that perfectly suits the tone of the World of Darkness. The environmental design successfully captures both the beauty and menace of a city controlled by unseen forces. Complemented by strong audio design and a moody soundtrack, the presentation helps immerse players in a world where ancient monsters coexist with modern society. While the game offers a compelling story and impressive atmosphere, some longtime fans may find that certain role-playing systems are less extensive than expected. Character progression and customization focus more heavily on narrative immersion and action-oriented gameplay than on the deep statistical complexity often associated with classic RPGs. Nevertheless, the streamlined approach allows the story and world-building to remain at the forefront of the experience, making the game accessible to newcomers while still providing meaningful choices and consequences. Despite carrying the weight of enormous expectations as the successor to a cult classic, Bloodlines 2 succeeds in delivering an engaging interpretation of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. Its strongest qualities lie in its richly realized setting, memorable characters, and emphasis on political intrigue and supernatural mystery. Although it may not fully replicate every aspect that fans loved about the original game, it establishes its own identity and offers a captivating journey through a world of darkness, ambition, and immortal conflict. Rating: 7/10
