About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

it is not an accual sucsessor to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 1. If you are looking for this, you mayby get disappointed. But if you are looking for an good Vampire: The Masquerade game, than this is a nice part of the universe. I had my fun at my first playthrough an planing some more. The game takes a lot of notes on dessicions you make while playing, which i like. May by the open world was a littel bit to repeditative, but all in all i´m happy that i played this game.
*Recommend but with some heavy caveats* tl;dr - if you want a real VTMB sequel, with VTM-ish stats and gameplay and all that, sadly this ain't it. If you want to be a badass vampire and tear people apart while playing through a decent story, you'd probably like it. And don't worry if you're new to VTM, it explains what you need to know and also leaves plenty to learn if you want to go deeper (hint hint nudge nudge VTM is awesome go check it out) First off, this is not really a good sequel to VTMB. It follows the VTM lore (though there's some debate as to how well it does this) but not the gameplay, and I know that's what a lot of people were hoping for, myself included. Honestly this game might've gone over better if it had just been a generic vampire game and not attached to VTMB, so as not to create that expectation. I did really enjoy how easily stealth and open combat were blended. Enemies don't track you very well if you can break line of sight, making it easy to pop out and kill one or two dudes and fade back into the shadows. It feels a bit like the combat in the Arkham games, where getting spotted and forced into open combat might not be a death sentence, but it does feel like a soft failure. And when you do get caught in the open, it's usually not that hard to run around a corner and hide or climb something, especially if you have a stealth or teleport power available. Unfortunately there are a few boss and arena fights where there's nowhere to hide, and those vary in fun for me. I liked the story, there were some good mysteries and fun moments. I won't get into spoilers but there were a few points where I think the writing was a bit weak. In particular, there is a single choice that has a massive effect on which endings you can get, and the choice that would be in character for all but the wildest anarchs pretty much guarantees the "bad" ending. Now, the results of that choice aren't really a surprise, you are warned that it won't actually fix the problem, and choices with no real good option feel right at home in VTM. But it is a little annoying that in order to avoid the "bad" ending, you'll probably have to break character on most playthroughs. The ending is a little disappointing, not in what happens but the way it's presented: final boss fight > very short cutscene showing the result of the fight > a few end slides with a brief narration. I know the development was a nightmare but the ending would've benefited a lot from the different endings having their own cutscenes and not just a few slides.
TERRRIBLE. I expected a sequel. I got ripped off. Never buying another game from this company.
There are literally thousands of good games you could be playing; do that instead of playing this.
I recommend this game to anyone that loves a lot of good dialogue and deep story with political intrigue and varying factions. The combat, open world, and skills could all use some worth though. The activities in the 'open world' need some more variety because they get very monotonous. Getting the required currency for buying your skills involves you biting various npcs around the city and it gets tedious pretty quick. The melee combat would benefit greatly by not being first person, but giving that it is, it's pretty lame sauce. It is still fun running around the city, but the repetitive nature of the entire games grates on you after a few hours.
This game is a poor successor to its nominal predecessor. It has none of the freedom and depth of character Bloodlines 1 had. The map and mission design is stylish but incredibly linear. Your clan choice matters very little. The combat is very hectic as the enemies appear to prioritise getting behind you and you get nudged around a lot by your own animations and enemy collisions. To make matters worse, the ability system forces you to endlessly repeat "cool" feeding animations to gather blood and regain health. I have watched Phyre growl at at least 30 big bruisers at this point before knocking their heads off. These scenes are way too common and make no sense when surrounded by five enemies in combat. The game is fun to play mostly when you're climbing, jumping and flying around the city as Phyre. The traversal works well, the collectibles are alright. The stretches with Fabien are an all around bore to play (you can now teleport to people who act as waypoints to skip some of the walking, but the loading screens are too long to really make that attractive). At the same time, the atmosphere is strong and the layered mystery that unfolds across the different eras isn't bad at all. I'll be interested to see where it goes. My highlight so far are the segments on the radio with host Bet of Night and wondering how they relate to the mystery. Unfortunately, the technical state is still not great, even after some patches and the first DLC. In ten hours I have experienced choppy loading (quite frequent; leaves NPCs as floating limbs for a minute), two crashes on scene transitions, as well as several instances of voicelines and animations stopping. Once I fell through the floor when loading in (which the game caught and rectified without a reload). Overall, I can't really recommend this, despite being glad it eventually came out.
"THEY STOLE IT FROM ME CARMINE! THEY TOOK IT!" It's a cool game if you weren't expecting something like the first one. Wish they would've changed the name. But hey, maybe I'm just salty for no reason.
Leider nein.
