About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

After everything I read about this sequel I thought I would hate it. When I saw it was on sale I decided to give it a chance. I was worried because I really enjoy games that give me a lot of character creation/background options. But I don't know... I really enjoy how linear this game is. The story is wonderful, I was immediately hooked. I LOVE the Nomad. The game is beautiful and the combat is actually FUN. It is fast pace and exciting. I have loved VtM for years the video game and the TTRPG. I wish I got this game sooner. Grab it while it's on sale! You won't regret it.
I don't know why I listened to the reviews. This is great fun!
Having played extremely little of the original VtM and forgiving the 'normal' AA+ game performance issues.. I liked the game. I was thoroughly invested - sure the combat, moving animations and 'parkour' are alittle jank - its not a deal breaker. However, what IS a deal breaker is - getting locked out of the main story due to one of the primary story NPCs not spawning in her scripted location. Quest tells me to go to that location, where she usually is - however she is not and nothing around where she should be is interactable. I am unable to progress through the story... Reading online, it appears this is common bug introduced in one of the latest patches and one of the 'fixes' is NOT do a specific side quest from one of the other NPCS - I'm 23 hours over a weekend... I don't know where and when I did that quest. While I had wanted to recommend picking up the game during a sale, I cannot recommend this game with a bug that locks the player out of progressing the main story. If hotfix or patch is released that addresses this, I will happily update my review.
This preset main character crap is lazy as hell. This is not part of Bloodlines at all, in my opinion. Thanks for making us wait for this absolute garbage. I even pre-ordered the game and got a refund, thank God, before this disgusting, lazy crap game came out. I heard this was garbage. I am so glad I got it on sale. But now I regret it. Even getting it on sale wasn't worth the money I wasted! Don't waste your time on this crap game. ):<
It feels like cyberpunk 2077 but you're a vampire.
Gameplay is fine, albeit repetitive. Once you get the hang of it. Though for some reason, your character will constantly do like, the opposite of the dialogue option you clicked. Eventually I even ended up with some random ending, directly opposed to what dialogue options I'd been choosing throughout the game. What's the point of an adventure game with multiple endings if you get one on accident? Might as well have been more linear, which is the direction the game leans into anyway. Performance optimisation is weak. I got frame drops at weird places, but nothing horrible. Got softlocked a couple times too, but reloading a save solved it well enough. Some places, especially vents, let you clip your camera through walls, which you'd definitely expect not to be an issue. Good timesink if you get it on sale, but can't recommend for €70.
gottlos laggy (türen sind mehr endgegner als die gegner selbst )
The type of game you wouldn't get at full price. It's fun but not worth the amount for its limited playtime. It's also not a Bloodlines game - VTM; Nomad would have been a better title. Also, the game is really handholdy, especially for people familiar with VTM. We're supposed to be playing an Elder - Fabien shouldn't have to do things like warn us against breaking the masquerade.
Kinda fun if you don't compare with previous game, though there are a couple of problems: empty open world, really not much to do aside from some collectibles and sucking blood for additional powers. Railroaded story, kinda wished there were branching paths for several key moments in the story. Aside from these two, there are plenty of characters I liked, the combat and powers were solid, and I liked the protagonist. Overall, I would give it a solid 7/10
Spoiler! Really hate the fact that for like half of the game you are forced to play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ detective that just keep on yapping. Yes some other character then the protagonist that you are supposed to be, a bad ass ancient vampire that woke up from a long slumber. You have a set of clan abilities and through out the game you can unlock more, but when playing with this ♥♥♥♥ face detective you don't have access to any ot those. Why is it games these days have a trend of forcing you to play with different characters to finish a game. Was the same with the lastest assasins creed also, this ♥♥♥♥ started with GTA 5 and i really hate it. just wanna play with one character and emmerse into that, instead of having to switch all the time.
