About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

An above average vampire action game, marred by the Bloodlines title. As a fan of bloodlines 1, it's not a bloodlines game, but I still found it enjoyable. There's some choices and some different endings, but all in all, it's pretty linear. The atmosphere is on point, the voice acting is good, the story and characters vary from good to just ok. If you worry about woke cringe, there was way less than I was fearing. It's definitely in there though, but usually not too jarring. The Fabian missions mostly bored me to tears, though I liked the character. You'll see what I mean. Flawed, but a good time. Pick it up on sale.
This is actually amazing, im new to the franchise, I honestly dont know why this game has mixed reviews, the game is really good especially if u play this in 3d which I did. The open world feels kinda empty but its not a sandbox really, its fighting focus game. Clear out waves of enemies trying out different builds. Plus you are a kindred vampire! Its a 7/10 game, cons: open wolrd is kinda empty and the customization system is not that great plus the autosave ruined the rpg because you can save scam the system. It should've saved right after your answer to npc's.
I have had hours of fun on this game. It has been awhile since i enjoyed a game this much.
I went into this knowing full well it isn't anything like Bloodlines 1. I thought, "Hey, I haven't played the first one and thus am not all that attached to its legacy, I know ahead of time it isn't a full RPG, I bet the more action oriented gameplay will still be lots of fun." I was wrong. The game just isn't fun. The combat feels clunky, the story is too boring for me to get invested in, and the game just feels empty and lifeless. The best I can give is a 4/10.
I should love games of this genre and I really wanted to love this one. But I play everything on a low DPI and I cannot make this game properly slow its camera movement. It's honestly nauseating. It ruins the entire experience and I can't go 10 feet without feeling out of place, out of sync, and out of focus. It's rare that I find a massively produced game that has such terrible accessibility features. Sadly 0/10, I'd give lower if I could
Washed myself of any pretense that this was a true Bloodlines sequel before playing and it massively improved my enjoyment. It's still a pretty mid game. Ostensibly a stealth-action brawler but the stealth is half baked. Masquerade violations don't really do anything, there's no humanity system to stop you from beating down on cattle and there's a very limited roster of characters you can actually speak to. It's a shame because most of the writing is good. Not Bloodlines good, but good nonetheless. Even the character that annoyed me most, the incessant voice in your character's head, actually grew on me over time. He's only there because the developers apparently couldn't trust players to pay attention to their game unless some inner voice prattled on at them because our brains are fried by short form content, but at least he's got some substance. The combat and movement are where this game shines. I wish they'd just spent all their time on that. Handing out beatdowns as an Elder Vampire feels great. You can use telekinesis to grab weapons in the heat of battle, and you have a roster of other powerful abilities you can use too. It's a power fantasy, sure, but some of the fights were still pretty tough with the sheer numbers they throw at you. Movement is the other half, running across rooftops, gliding over streets, scrambling up drainpipes. I wish there was more of this too. At times I just wanted to run forever. Based on some of the other reviews I went in expecting this to be worse than it actually was and was pleasantly surprised. Its not really the Bloodlines 2 we deserve but it's the only one we're getting. Slow down and enjoy the ride.
I love it! Story Is interesting so far. But its much less rpg than the original. The DLC is good 2
This game has so much potential and falls so flat. I was hoping for a game to be a ... you know Vampire...all the time...and not half as a detective going through dialogue choices with cheesy mechanics that is really just guessing. The vampire combat is fun, but not very balanced and once the story progresses, the balance falls apart badly. This in no way resembles Seattle. Seattle DOES NOT have snow storms for weeks at a time, more less any snow that even sticks with the obvious Pacific breeze. Just an easy detail to totally miss. It's like a weird pseudo detroit or something, but still tries to be Seattle? Could've just had rain...ALL the time and it would've felt way more like Seattle and still been scary/spooky. Too much dialogue, too much time filler, just a slog. It felt like I was watching a TV show that started strong and suddenly got incredibly boring, but I am too invested to just quit halfway thru and not see how it ends. Don't waste your time.
Never had a game gave me so many mixed feeling that I felt like writing a review, I'll start with this : IT IS A GOOD GAME, the GAME is fun, combat is fast, story is neat, characters have a lot of charm and soul BUT it is in no way a sequel to the original bloodline and it is in no way, shape or form even CLOSE to being worth it's full BASE PRICE, GET IT AT A DISCOUNT, I BEG OF YOU. That's about 15 hours or so worth of content in the base game, granted haven't done the DLCs at the time of writing, but base game with all it's "sidequest" which half the time are just "Go kill this guy" and the usual collectible hunt in an honestly very small seattle isn't particularly fun, imo. HAVING SAID THAT : The game is fun. I had a solid 4 nights of playing it, small frustrations here and there with controls and the kind of annoying feeding mechanics BUT outside of that ? Fun game. It is an action game, you jump around, you glide, you punch, kick and drink people and THAT PART IS FUN. HOWEVER, it isn't 79$ (CAD) worth of fun, far from it, having gotten it at half price even then I'd say it's a bit pricey but I can at the very least kind of get it. If you want a good action vampire game, this might be what you want ! Do not expect any real impactful story-driven mechanics, your MC is paper thin and no matter what you do the game kind of aims you more or less in the same direction, but it is a very fun action vampire game, just don't buy it full price.
