Prices

13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 21 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Such and underrated game and series. Don't let it's anime-themed characters turn you off. This is a very addictive strategy, turn-based tactical shooting game that rewards your planning and thinking 3 turns ahead (like chess). Easy to pickup and play with many different ways of approaching missions.
A great mix of visual novel and turn-based strategy game with a twist, topped off with a unique and charming art style. The game does a great job of portraying a war, your actions and consequences in it, all while integrating your own squads’ development alongside the bigger picture. Your soldiers, other than the main cast, get their own codex-like entries as you play and can die permanently if you aren’t careful, adding to the weight of your combat decisions. Each soldier is unique with their own personality that affects their own abilities as well as when working with other soldiers. This, packaged with a 3rd person perspective, adds a nice change to the turn-based genre. Pros Great story, art, soundtracks, voice acting, a likeable cast, a unique twist on turn-based combat, real options with customisation and upgrading, great missions and opportunities to use unconventional tactics. Marina has yet to miss a headshot! Cons Can be a bit fuzzy on higher resolutions but you get used to it, UI is clunky, tank movement is clunky, some audio bugs if you play too long, auto mantle can get you killed (better to be aware around climbable objects), some inconsistent difficulty in later missions which end up being more of a puzzle to solve rather than being tactical, ranking system is terrible so ignore it and play the way you want, you can always grind experience if you feel under levelled. Overall, a unique game in the genre that is worth playing through for the story and solid gameplay. DLCs are included in the bundle and offer more content and weapons to add to the experience. Some tips would be to check guides if you get stuck on certain missions, be aware of sandbags, they are your greatest enemy, keep deploying your main cast for extra CP, and be aware that objectives can change mid-mission. Cheese the enemy spawn system for difficult missions. I hope that SEGA ports the remaining games for PC.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I played a demo for this game on the PS3 about 10 years ago and it stuck with me so much I finally played it in 2025, and it holds up. The strategy game play is great, the story is solid enough, and the visuals are at least good enough I think. Definitely worth it
What should be a fun X-com type game is sadly just a puzzle solver, with almost each battle having a '1 turn solution' to get an A rank. Yes, one single turn, rush into the base with a fast scout unit and win the battle, and the devs actually REWARD this stupid gamey play by giving you extra exp and income boosts for turn 1 clearances. So, with that said, ignore all those abilities, all the other classes, all those cool perks each character has, its all meaningless, you will literally never have to actually defend anything, if you give the enemy just one turn, your already losing, might as well reload the mission and try again.
It's fun. It will probably run on a toaster, although if you have to choose between this and 4. I'd say, get 4.
I sent a 15 years old to war and she came back with a double digit kill counts and a degree in engineering
Valkyria Chronicles has one of the best war stories I’ve ever experienced in a game. The characters feel alive. Everyone is fleshed out with distinct personalities, making it hard to imagine losing any of them in battle. That emotional weight adds to the tension, and the campaign itself is beautifully written and engaging from start to finish. Gameplay-wise, it’s a mix of tactical depth and just enough RNG to keep you on your toes. Once you discover your perfect team composition and buff combos, the game can become a bit of a cakewalk, but that doesn’t take away from the fun. In fact, it makes experimenting with different strategies all the more satisfying. If there’s one downside, it’s that only a handful of characters get meaningful story arcs. With such a colorful cast full of charm and personality, it feels like a missed opportunity not to explore them more deeply. Even so, Valkyria Chronicles holds a very special place in my heart. Later entries balance the gameplay better, but this first one remains unforgettable for its story, atmosphere, and the bond you form with its squad of soldiers.
I have lots of mixed feelings about this one. Going in, the setting seems refreshing, and I was expecting a somewhat grounded tactical strategy, similar to XCOM, but with some real-time elements. Well, turns out, this is only grounded by anime standards - you still get some really annoying anime and JRPG-ish tropes in game design and in plot. On the good side, it still avoided some of the most common pitfalls (At least we're not in school and all the main characters are older than 15). 1 - I somewhat expected, but still was disappointed when the fantastical elements appeared. I can live with existence of a magical rock that can work as ammo, armor, healing potion, gasoline - but the "Valkyria" part of the title got me rolling my eyes more than once, let's say. 2 - Maybe it's a "me" problem, but the strategy part heavily incentivizes you to adopt one strategy that works on at least 70% of missions: you spam 4-5 orders on your scouts, and rush into enemy frontlines, ignoring 90% of damage, and kill your target in one to two hits because you can destroy a tank with a regular rifle in one shot now I guess. You can certainly play in other ways, but I don't think it's possible to get A rank without doing this. And the game punishes you for not doing this, not giving you as much rewards for playing "badly" (which in 100% of cases means "slowly", no other metrics that matter). 3 - Real-time part of gameplay also works a bit strange: enemy units fire at you when they see you, but not every unit (that I can understand), and only when you are not aiming (this I can not). This motivates you to cheese this mechanic a ton, and at the very least spam the "end turn" button to avoid getting hit/spam "aim" if you see your unit may be in range when turn starts. This together with previous point makes me constantly feel like I have to cheat the game in order to play well, instead of playing how I imagine it should have worked. 3.5 - Using covers also seems like a cheat often - if you are ducked (and you can only do this in a specific location), you always receive less damage, even if you sit on the wrong side of the barricade, to the point where it's useless to shoot anyone who is ducked, however good of a view you get of them. 4 - This comes with a genre, but similar to XCOM, you can miss shots from pretty much point-blank range. This is probably meant to somehow balance the previous two points, but it feels cheap. 5 - AI is incredibly dumb. Like, unfathomably dumb. The most danger you are in usually is by underestimating how much damage they can push to you, and if you are just unlucky and they manage to hit your tank with a rocket 3 times in a row. Mostly they will just shuffle around aimlessly, until they see someone in your team and then shoot (maybe). 6 - I liked the way load customization works, but wanted upgrades to tank to scale more. For example, I don't understand why I want an upgrade to thread defence that gives me, let's say, 75HP, when I have two parts that have the same size in total, and they sum up also to 75HP. IMO it makes more sense for the large parts to sum up to more than the little, because it's harder to fit them into your machine. 7 - I guess I should point out that maps had lots of variety, and without the order-spam tactics, will force you to change your roster and tweak what you have to do to win. I wish there could be more details in the briefing part of the set up about what can we expect, because there were multiple times where I had to restart an hour-long mission because I had messed up who I've deployed at the start and wasted too much time fixing it during the mission. 8 - Got used to this by the end, but some of the unskippable "flare" type of stuff takes a bit too long: calling for a medic, issuing orders, receiving potential buffs leads to an unskippable animation, that sometime feels like a waste of time. At the same time, there's no way of knowing in the moment what do those animations imply - you still have to sift through a couple of menus to figure out what exactly does "Tank Lover" means. I can't say I hated the experience, but given the hype I've heard about this game, I was certainly disappointed, and from what I've heard about VC4, I don't think I'll be playing that one.
求助,请问有适合 Steamdeck 用的汉化补丁吗?我找到扑家那个 0.99 打进去乱码了 谢谢
I got this game for PS3 back in the day and never made it past the tutorial. I thought the menu was clunky and there's no autosave. But coming back to it now, being a little more patient, this is an incredible strategy game experience with so much love and detail. I think I can actually appreciate everything Valkyria Chronicles is doing now I'm a bit older. The book menu system is still clunky- the lack of autosave is a pain- but past those aches is one of the most engaging original strategy games you'll ever play. And the watercolour anime style is beautiful to look at, a blessing since the game is packed with many hours of fully animated cut scenes! If you're a geek for World Wars and love a classic anime adventure, this game will make your week.
