About
Welcome to Shatterline - ground zero for the apocalypse.
Shatterline is a fierce, intense single-player FPS. Immerse yourself in a world of explosive action; smooth, satisfying gunplay; and a striking landscape full of rewards and deadly opponents.
A mysterious interstellar object has exploded near Earth, sending massive, jagged shards smashing into our planet’s surface, turning thriving cities into toxic craters and leaving millions dead.
From this destruction, a new horror has risen: an alien contaminant called “Crystalline” that tears apart geomagnetic fields and transforms living flesh to razor-edged silica. And it’s spreading.
You enter the game as a skilled Operative, part of an elite team chosen to fight this menace. Choose from unique and powerful characters, including a lethal sniper, armored juggernaut, experimental warfare specialist, fearless medic, and more.
Your mission: to eliminate the Crystalline and save what’s left of humanity.

!DO NOT PURCHASE THIS! Back when it was free in early access it was amazing. Interesting and intense PvP, decent co-op campaign teaser missions, and a fantastic co-op extraction mode that consumed hours of my life. Each character and weapon had leveling and unlocks, the PvP maps were dynamic and had different game modes, and I really looked forward to playing the full co-op campaign to finish the story. Unfortunately that is pretty much all gone. They did finish the campaign story but disable co-op (which is weird when you have characters with abilities to revive others), they also limited the characters you you have access to and the weapon selection is laughable (each character has a set secondary and can pick between 2 primaries), the PvP is by private server only and therefore dead, same with the extraction mode that was soo much fun before. Thankfully I got this game for free so I can't really complain but DO NOT PURCHASE THIS! Crazy that the early access free version had more options and playability than the "full release"
this was great. . . when it was FREE, not turned into epic game NFT, then stripped of gameplay and put back on steam with a price tag and DLC. they had a fan base, they had the player numbers, but they just wanted to see money. also ♥♥♥♥ AI
the game was first off free, it was fun. hop in so coop mission, couple matchs in multiplayer. but then they removed the game. they decided to bring it back under epic only for awhile then they came back to stream hoping the community would be by there side. but when you cut ties to the people who played and liked the game, and help build up the game, it leaves a sour taste in the mouth. the fact they are now asking 10$ for the same free to play game but now broken cause they felt like changing alot of the game on top of the dlc break it more. if this game wasnt good enough to stay on steam the whole time. then they can get there money from epic sense they think it was THE BEST CHOICE for the game
remember when this game was actually good
sadly they essentially removed pvp and then went from free to play to 10 bucks. absolutely sad and not worth buying.
0 / 10 Don't buy the game let it die it's not worth 1 dollar
this game was fun as a free to play but definitely not worth 10 dollars. the best part of this game was the multiplayer and it was underwhelming at best.
The game had a great multiplayer. Played almost 100 hours on it. Stopped playing because there were quality of life updates that honestly never happened. Then they removed the multiplayer from the game. Sad because that was my favorite part. Honestly had something that other games didn't with the fast gameplay and payload variant. Sad to see a class based shooter give up the multiplayer for a singleplayer/coop mode. If I had any recommendations; make me pay $30 for the game. Focus on the multiplayer gameplay with bug fixes and weapon balance. I feel like this team had something and took a wrong turn where Embark Studios made the right decisions within a similar context. Don't do free to play and focus on recreating the fun parts of the game.
It started as a free multiplayer arena shooter, then changed into a mediocre single-player campaign. The Randy DLC changed the game type again, and it’s one of the worst things that I have ever played.
Whatever this game has become is not what this game was supposed to be :(
