Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 21 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I have played VC 1 and 2 before this. 3 is considered separate, so let's ignore that and just stick to why this is a thumbs down. So, in VC 1, you had a group of ragtag people from small towns. You were in control of an irregular force separate from the main regular military, with mostly untrained people who signed up at the top of a war to protect their homes. This is why you have men and women in VC 1. As for VC 2, it's a military academy for the youth to repair their country in the aftermath of the war of VC 1, who are called in to stop a rebellion, which is why it has both male and female heroes. However, VC 3 is not like those. Not only is it a regular force of adults, but it's all about the eye candy. The reason for the beach scene in 1 was because they were being idiots having a party after a tough battle, and that party had real consequences for the team. There was good reason for it, and good writing. To make this worse, the first heavy unit you receive is a woman. Now, I'm no power lifter, but that's a bullcrap position for a woman. Those things are way heavier than the Lances of VC, so it's hard to believe they're carrying them. These women are there to create eye candy for gooners, and I don't like that. 3's not even the same country of Gallia from VC 1 and 2, but it takes place at the same time as VC 1, which means you already know how the war will end, and feel also like all the major stuff of the war happened in 1. This means VC3 feels like it has to compete with the story of VC1, rather than extending it into new realms. But then, of course, I can still recommend VC1 just fine. Go play that if you haven't. It's a fantastic game.
awesome sauce
Rating: 4/5 ---- Great! --------------------------------- There is a lot to VC4, but if you don't like strategy games, most of it is garbage. However, if you do like turn-based games (with a tinge of active systems), then VC4 is a competent installment in the genre that is worth trying out especially if you like romance in your stories. Cons: The mission structures can be incredibly cheap/frustrating, especially when objectives are hidden/changed during the mission. This promotes replayability, but it cuts into the enjoyment the first time through a mission. And this happens constantly. This game needs an auto-advance option for dialogue. Because it doesn't, be prepared to press A/OK thousands of times during your playthrough. RNG is the worst it has ever been in a VC game. Do you like save-scumming? You better effing should cuz if not you are in for a rough time, chica. If you are aromantic, this game's story truly has nothing to offer. The only threads that hold this game up are will they/won't they stories. Pros: There is a lot to do in the Complete Edition that it can be overwhelming at times. There are nice side/extra missions that add a lot of color to the world. There are post-game activities, as well as DLC that gives even more party members. The True End is worth it, imo, and since over 10% of Steam players also got that achievement, it seems many agree. Almost everything is voice-acted, something that adds a lot of character to this game. Agarest would never. All in all, this is a good game that is only made great if you like anime/strategy games, which is very niche. VC1 has the better heart, but VC4 is the better game.
