Amazing game. Gets better after about 3levels in. If you like schmup style games, then this is an amazing time burner.
This was a solid sequel, different but good. Similar to the first Valfaris it can be frustrating and unfair at times but overall a good time. It's easier than the first game if that's worth anything.

At first, I kinda regretted buying this. However, the more I played, the more I really liked it. You get a lot of weapons pretty quickly, and by the time I found a pair I liked, I was hooked. The music is obviously awesome. The art is cool, though things that damage you can be a bit hard to spot at times. The story exists. Thankfully, I got this for 80% off. It is not worth $20. Not even close. But at $5, I felt it was worth it, and I would happily buy it again.
The devs shifted toward the shmup genre and delivered one of the best out there! Hard mode 'Great Horned One' will be a pain in the ass as usual, but I feel it's a bit easier than OG Valfaris. Incredible follow-up to og Valfaris, I love it.
Какая же хрень после первой части. Первую часть прошёл с восторгом. Боёвка была бодрая, музон просто обрушивал на тебя атмосферу ада, А что здесь? 1.) Шмап... Уже такое себе...; 2.) 2,5д, ну ладно, допустим... Но драйв вообще пропал; 3.) Экран местами скролится крайне неудобно, не видно противников, которые летят на тебя; 4.) Музыка... Как-будто в соседнем доме сосед репает под минус. Звук плоский, не цепляет. Итого: Пройдя первую часть, так хотел узнать продолжение, и играть в ЭТО пришлось только чтобы узнать, чем всё закончится. UPD: Манал я ваш 2,5D! Враги вылетают не пойми откуда прямо в тебя, автоматом нанося урон, и уворачиваться нифига не удобно....
Неплохо, очень неплохо. Но предыдущая игра Valfaris от данных разработчиков лучше буквально во всём, а здесь всё сливается в какую-то кашу, в которой трудно разглядеть, что именно тебя старается в.ы.е.б.а.т.ь (а старается тут практически всё).
I loved Slain and the previous Valfaris game, but this is completely different, an arcade shooting game. Most importantly, the head bang becomes less dramatic, which is very disappointing.
Steel Mantis hasn't let me down yet! I have injected this game straight into my veins 3 times and come out more metal than a ginormous metal dog with a gatling laser on its head that also fires spirit bombs out of his belly (literal boss from this game!) 6 Great Horned Ones out of 5, very fun giant mecha heavy metal-infused side-scrolling Forgotten Worlds-style shooter. -gameplay: challenging but fair -art: astonishing -sound: off the charts as always, particularly if you're a fan of hard rock! -story: Xyla's death broke my heart (luckily, she gave hers to our long-haired mega-sworded protagonist) Give it a go, along with the rest of the Steel Mantis triumvirate: Valfaris and Slain: Back From Hell!
