Until Dawn est le premier jeu qui m’a fait découvrir le monde de l’horreur. Avant ça, je n’avais jamais joué à des jeux d’horreur ni regardé de films du genre. Et je pense sincèrement que, pour une première approche de cet univers, c’était le meilleur choix à faire. Les choix que vous allez effectuer auront tous un impact direct sur vos personnages, leurs affinités, ou même leur mort. Et ce sont justement ces conséquences qui vont vous faire douter à chaque décision. Bref, le jeu est très bien construit. L’histoire est parfois un peu clichée, mais c’est aussi ce qui fait son charme. Entre les adolescents, leurs histoires d’amour, leurs amitiés et leurs rivalités, on s’attache facilement aux personnages. En revanche, j’ai été beaucoup moins sensible à l’aspect paranormal. Cependant, la maladie mentale (sans spoiler) est très bien représentée et nous amène vers une autre forme de peur, plus psychologique. Bref, j’ai adoré ce jeu, et c’est grâce à lui que je continuerai à faire des jeux d’horreur à l’avenir.

I always was a fan of the playable movies ala fahrenheit and in my opinion Until Dawn is one of the best if not the best of the bunch. They got pretty good actors and the horror twist worked back then. I cant really say what they changed compared to the old ps4 version, because it was a long time ago since i played it, but it still works for me.

I loved this game a lot. Not all the choices you make have predictable consequences. The best part of it all is the ambiance of the game, it will give you the chills, the suspense atmosphere it builds is not matched by many horror games. Only downturns is that there were some few issues with lighting and shadows in some scenes, but nothing too bad. A shame the sequel will be a PS exclusive. 8.5/10
