This game is the best, my friend Fritocheez especially loves it but he cannot figure out how to leave a review because his mom drank while she was pregnant.
best played with friends, worms wmd is a hilarious strategy game where sometimes a pixel is the difference between greatness and all your friends laughing at your blunder. Worth noting that there is no cross play between console versions and the pc version, so if your friends are on console you ought to join them there or have them join you on pc. It can run on a potato so it shouldn't take too much convincing
Controls are very bad. Needed to remap and they were still unfriendly. Was expecting a simple game to play local, we ended up quitting halfway through.
The physics are unrealistic.. Worms don't explode in real life
its ok i guess
muito legal se vc tiver amigos
Worms is one of the obscure game franchises that has dotted itself throughout my life. From the 3D titles on Xbox to their return to 2D on handheld consoles. It's an IP I've had the pleasure of being reintroduced to a few times. Worms W.M.D takes me back to the days of playing on my DS with my siblings whilst game-sharing through download play in Worms Open Warfare. Rage-baiting one another and putting pressure on our already strained relationships. During the pandemic I convinced a few of my friends to pick up the game as a way to kill some time during our hangouts remotely. Soon enough we were chatting nonsense whilst laying waste to each other on the Worms' battlefield. I recently returned to the game intrigued about its campaign and the challenges I had yet to tackle. I was pleasantly surprised at what the game had to offer and rather enjoyed continuing to 100% the game in its entirety alongside all achievements. Worms W.M.D is a brilliant little game to just talk sh*t with your friends whilst partaking in a low stakes but often times humorous session of anarchy. Foiling best-laid-plans, arguing over home brewed rules, impromptu alliances and then inevitable backstabbing all whist laughing as you blow up half of your battalion all because you were too trigger happy that round. If you fancy the sound of any of that then I'd say give the game a go!
just tell me please, why the damn hell you sell this game for mac users, while never made proper porting on mac? it's just insanely stupid. the game is just not working on mac properly, constantly lagging, ignoring inputs, etc. just total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. and don't tell me this nonsense like "don't play on mac". you shipped the game on this platform, and it's just totally broken. SHAME and ♥♥♥♥! you better contact me, and I will kindly make you a proper porting on mac. otherwise JUST DELETE THE MAC VERSION FROM THE DAMN STEAM! you basically just stole my money.
On a 80% off sale, Worms W.M.D is some good clean turn based fun. On any other sale? Eh, too much. While the good old Armaggedon is still kicking strong and remains pretty darn playable, WMD has some new fun mechanics to keep the gameplay fresh. The vehicles and mounted weapons create opportunities for multikills and map change via destruction, buildings allow for cover and also spice up the visual side of the map, and crafting is... kind of here? It has it's uses like making more ammo on limited use weapons (god save) but the crafting only weapons are a mixed bag. And if these new things don't appeal to you, well you can turn them off, at which point you get a Armaggedon with hand drawn graphics, which i'd say is a decent deal. Negatives? Campaign. It's not particularly that long, which is fine, but it's quite tough, and not in the fun way, but more in the way where all levels in the second half are 3v8's. Just kind of a piss-off. Also the camera tends to jerk a bit and fails to sometimes get a good view of the action, but this is ignorable. If you like Worms, or want to blow your friend up, this is a decent way to do it.
Me and friends play with each others worms, Sometimes we play this game together as well
