Turba

Was expecting something similar to Lumines, or even Audiosurf. It just feels too rough around the edges and amateurish. I know it's cheap, but so are a LOT of other, much more polished games.

Turba is a 10 year old match-3/Bejewelled ripoff with a minor difference, you can apparently time your matches with MP3s from your own library to enhance the combo, surely an addition to a tired casual gaming genre that nobody asked for. There's a few other poorly felt out gimmicks, like you need to select the blocks then choose when to dismiss them, rather than shifting them around... this is less satisfying than normal match-3 gameplay! Apart from the gimmicks, which don't play out well anyway, this is a mediocre entry in a crowded genre. There's better match-3 games for free on mobile or in browsers, but they want money for this one... which doesn't even feature a working full screen mode (pushing alt+enter to force full screen just causes it to crash). Fundamental technical problems and charging money for a game when there's better free ones... I can't recommend anyone buys this.

This game is one of those games where I'd wish there was a neutral recommendation button. It's a fun game where the tiles fill the screen according to the tempo of the song you play, but the beat-accuracy of this game is lacking. And since the difficulty of a song is related to it's tempo, having poor accuracy makes for some odd play. It's a good game otherwise.

A sub-par Bejeweled clone that lets you play with your own music. The only way that the music affects the game is that you get bonus points when you do a combo on beat. The algorithm is totally offbeat though so good luck.

Fulfilled my weekly quota of blue screens.

I do not reccommend this game. The idea for this game was great, the features promised was nice, but in the end the game didn't hold up to what it was offering. The play value was short, and honestly, you just lose your interest after awhile. If you like music games I would rather recommend Audiosurf.
