Love this franchise & excited for the 7th installment. Fun, whimsical city-builder within an engaging fictional context. Diplomacy is fun; strategic warfare is minimally present & not the point of this game.

I used to utterly love tropico, have played them back to the early games, but just fired this up again in 2026 and it's...shocking how bad the controls are somehow. Basically makes it unplayable.

For the last time i will NOT be offering democratic elections. SO STOP ASKING!!

Love the Tropico games, of all the City Builder type games these always seem the most fun to play. Easy to learn but difficult to master and numerous times my carefully planned city/economy has tanked in later eras. If I have one complaint it is with road building, which seems to have a mind of its own and often does not allow roads to be built even when there is no impediment to them being constructed. The ways that businesses often fail to attach to roads is also a frustration. But overall, you can have hours of relaxing fun playing Tropico 6. I am still working through all the individual missions - I think I would have preferred a main campaign rather than individual disparate missions, but it does not make the game any less of an enjoyable time sink. Runs fine on the whole, with the occasional Unreal engine stutter, but nothing game breaking.

Mystère… ou corruption efficace. Île produire bananes. Moi exporter bananes. Argent rentrer. Argent repartir… dans ma poche. Conseiller dire “attention”. Moi ignorer. Catastrophe arriver. Moi dire “c’est la faute des autres”. 10/10
