Tropico 4

I've played tropico 3, 4, 5 on the Xbox back in the day and this is by far the best one. - Comedy is good -Voice Actors are a 10/10. They absolutely knocked it out of the park -Music is ok -Atmosphere is immersive and makes you feel like your a latin american dictator in the Cold War. -DLC is good an actually adds something to the game -Good building variety -You can fight rebels -You can get hit by tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. -You can shoot random criminals instead of imprisoning them -You can shoot the political opposition -You can shoot anyone in the game -Economy is expansive yet simplistic at the same time -You can ban contraceptives and elections through edicts -You can ban immigrants -Market Economy, Tourist Economy, or both -Simulate the 2020 US Presidential Election by rigging the vote. -Graphics are good for the time

Tropico 4 has depth and an excellent vibe despite some confusion. The mechanics all appear to be connected with a sense of balance, but certain details are not clear, especially regarding some of the buildings - How many of them do you need? Where are you supposed to put them? Do they need free space around them? Why do they disappear? Some are obvious, but others are left unexplained. Some of the mission goals should have offered detailed hints. You don't seem to need to play "optimally" to progress, atleast until you reach the end of the game. Even if the gameplay itself falls apart, the soundtrack and the satirical theme (supported by good voice acting) is all memorable. The technical and product side of the game is a bit disappointing - the options don't always save, and there's a pointless launcher that shows a bunch of advertising, and it wants you to subscribe to their newsletter and post about the game on Facebook and Twitter. For a game that was released over a decade ago, and has advertising in it, I'm not excited about the pricetag of £12.99.

Still the best outing for Presidente. The most fun, the easiest to play, and a great example of what all city building and management games should be. The graphics, after 14 years, are of course dated, but everything else is perfect. One of my favorite games, and definitely my favorite Tropico game. Still fun after 14 years.

Tropico 4 это усовершенствованная и отточенная версия своей предшественницы, которая сохранила весь очарование серии, но привнесла ряд геймплейных улучшений и новый контент, сделав игру одновременно более доступной для новичков и глубже для ветеранов. По сути, игра является прямым продолжением Tropico 3, используя тот же графический движок и базовую механику, из-за чего многие критики и игроки называют её скорее крупным DLC, чем полноценным сиквелом. Тем не менее, мне эта часть понравилась больше всего. Теперь у каждой внутриигровой фракции (коммунисты, капиталисты и т.д) есть свой лидер, который персонально появляется с требованиями и заданиями. Они кстати, немного запаривают и лавировать между ними порой уже раздражает. Помимо США и СССР появились Европейский Союз, Китай и что-то вроде ОАЭ или Саудовской аравии. Они тоже взаимодействуют с нами и делают разного рода запросы. Появилась система импорта и экспорта. Если остров сгенерирован хреново, то приходится, что-то из ресурсов закупать или наоборот. Очень правильно решение ввести разного рода события, типа восстания, военные мятежи и стихийные бедствия. К сожалению, здесь диджея заменили, но выруливает своими репликами Пенультимо.
