Great FPS game with a load of actions. You can try to play in stealth but that's not fun compared to front assault full blast to the enemies!
This game commits a sin so horrible that i struggle to give it a thumbs up, unskippable final boss cutscene. On a real note i struggled to like the game at first because it really looks like an unreal slop game, and it really doesn't shake that even later in the game. What roped me in was the fluid combat the sick ass metal riffs and honestly a decent story. I saw people comparing it to fear and honestly fear did it way better, as the arcade-y nature of the game really removes all seriousness of scary entities. All in all it was fairly enjoyable but not something I would ever replay which is sad because they put a lot into the replay-ability aspect of the game. The last bit just hurt the game so much to me that I just kinda rolled my eyes and sighed when it happened like, bro in you stand in front of a train you're gonna get railed, and no spoilers but that last fight was just not it dude. TLDR: it is a fun one time experience but I am glad I picked it up on sale because it was really not as great as I was made to believe.
Absolute storyline perfection.
Trepang2 :)
Despite its flaws, Trepang2 is an amazing experience and delivers something of interest to at least keep curiosity rolling just enough to stay hooked until the end. While the main story is a quite short 6 levels, there are interesting side levels, and extra incentives to play higher difficulties to get rewards that can be used later in the game's Endless mode. I personally dislike the philosophy of creating an easy mode to allow "stress-free play", then making some fun/completionist unlocks exclusive to a higher difficulty infuriating and dishonest, however then again, the only game that has ever done this right in my opinion is ULTRAKILL, and even then you need to stretch pretty hard to justify it. So I can't quite complain, they just wanted to add incentives for people to try higher difficulties, and it did just that. You can get around it with developer mode and cheats if you really want to try and put in the work, though this is not the intended way to do it, and will probably be removed some time soon. The story can be a little hard to follow sometimes. I understand the basic story premise, and some of the lore implications, however some details such as the deeper aspects of the lore, and the real *place* of the protagonist 106 is still unclear to me. Maybe it's a logical struggle (it would add up and make sense), maybe it's just the writing being a little spotty. But the story isn't inherently bad, just a little rough to follow. It should also be noted that controller support is horrible. You are going into this for Keyboard and Mouse gameplay, not for a controller. The game already limits you by natively only supporting Xbox controllers, and only having glyphs for Xbox. You can get other controllers to work with Steam Input and other wrappers of course, but the buttons won't match, and you will be reliant on such wrapper, no matter how heavy it is. Additionally, Controller support suffers heavily by causing flickering issues when playing KB+M with a controller connected. It is annoying, and makes the game not worth playing on controller at all. Which is a shame, as I like to justify controller gameplay, and find that controller is sometimes more comfortable than simple Keyboard and Mouse. While the Endless and Horde modes are great and provide a bit of extra fun for those who have completed all the missions in the game, I feel that the Survival DLC is a little underwhelming, and not as neat as I hoped. It feels as though it's just a reskin of Horde, with added hunger bars and such. Quite a shame, and I feel it's a stretch to make it a separate DLC when it doesn't add much over the free Horde mode, but people do what they want in this world, and I can't judge that! While the game looks abandoned, the developers have been in communication with some of the community, even as far back as 2025, so it's likely they're still cooking something in-house, depsite the current latest build being from 2024. So maybe some issues will be fixed soon, and we'll have plenty to look forward to! In the meantime, the basic gameplay is still very nice, and hopefully some of my criticisms of this game should be rounded out soon. If you think the story will be too short, you always have other options, but I personally enjoyed the game despite some of its issues, and believe that it could be a fun play for somebody who likes fast action and shooting people.
Rage Mode beaten in under 50 hours badge. Has a great soundtrack, and fluid gameplay loop. Main campaign (No DLC) is a little short and there's Unreal Engine audio bugs, but does feel like a finished game. Considering it's made by 4 people, that's impressive.

very fun game, but not very long, would recommend
short but very fun. the story is unrealistic and feels a bit rushed but nobody is playing this game for that. has a lot of replayability especially with all the unlocks i feel like there was meant to be a sort of stealth mechanic to incorporate too but i dont think the cloak is really long enough for it... i mostly used it to escape when i ran out of ammo lol.
