While the gameplay is VERY good, the star of the show is not really the gameplay but the visual style and the presentation. This is one of the most beautiful games ever made. If some of this game's artwork, set pieces and scenes was put to some kind of art gallery, I could say that they would steal the whole show. It also runs on pretty much any modern-day computer, so it's very accessible for a lot of people. Must play!

Completed on other platforms, everything artstyle, gameplay, music, world in this game are such a good quality. My fav game.

Tackling Transistor right after Bastion shows a marked improvement in the teams skills to build an atmospheric isometric action RPG. I far prefer to this to Bastion. The art style alone had me smiling as I played as each "twitch" in the art was a beautiful touch. It's just a great game to look at. Regarding gameplay, I enjoyed building my loadout and although I "failed" numerous times, the penalty of losing a single weapon or buildout didn't create too much of a challenge. Save points were more than frequent enough to support this 6 hour game. I enjoyed the story beats, characters, and music, but I was not pulled to pursue the various side quests presented. Love is a funny thing and how we perceive tragedy is truly in the eye of the beholder. This is great for the time constrained to hop in and out of to slowly tackle in 1 hour chunks over a week.
