Desperate to free her of this affliction, Caroline travels to the remote town of Villa Hess and a mysterious clinic nestled deep within the mountains of southern Chile. But behind the warm smiles of the facility’s serene staff lies a sickening truth, and the sisters soon find themselves at the center of an entirely new nightmare…
Explore a huge variety of unnerving locations within the town, including a shadowy convent, a derelict shopping mall, and an abandoned school.

Harness your supernatural powers to switch between realities, change the past to reshape the present, and search for alternate paths forward in the nightmarish 'other side'.

Collect and modify an arsenal of makeshift weapons such as the nailer and chainsaw, and utilize the new quick select feature to switch armaments in the heat of battle.

Examine, manipulate, and combine items to reveal hidden information, and forge connections between objects and the environment to solve intricately designed puzzles.

Face off against lethal new enemies, from skittering bladed horrors to hulking armored abominations, and use your wits to survive monstrous boss encounters.

Peel back the layers of a complex story full of twists and revelations. Encounter and cooperate with other characters each with their own agenda and dark secrets.

Relive the classic fixed-camera survival horror of the 90s with limited saves and tank controls, or switch to assisted mode for a more casual experience.

Pretty good but with some flaws. After playing Tormented Souls 1 I had great expectations, and TS2 in theory delivers and improves on TS1, but it's not exactly like that. Combat is faster, which should be great, but the clunkyness of TS1 made every shot count and having to ponder when exactly to take the shot and if to take the shot at all for the scarcity of resources made TS1 an unforgettable experience. This one in faster and more fluid, but you have so many ammos that you can basically steamroll the game without too much thinking on how you are going to fight. Puzzles are pretty cool, but there wasn't a single one where I had that "Eureka" moment like in TS1, maybe for some players this is a pro in favor of TS2, because puzzles here are easier to understand, but for me TS1 puzzles were perfection and multiple puzzles took me a while to figure out, but the satisfaction was amazing. The story is meh, it wasn't amazing in 1, but here is basically a copypaste from 1 with a couple of twists just to make it feel slightly different, but if you already played 1 you know exactly what to expect after a couple of hours in this game. I think it's a good game and it's made with passion and I still suggest it, but if you haven't played TS1, go for that first, I think it's still superior

Really awesome horror/puzzle game
Absolute Empfehlung – 10/10!
If you like survival horror games with fixed camera angles then this game is made for you. The combat is solid and the puzzles are mostly reasonable.
This is one of those sequels that knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn't try to reinvent the classic survival horror formula – it simply doubles down on everything that made the first game work. And honestly? That's exactly what I wanted. Just like its predecessor, this feels like a love letter to the golden age of the genre. If you grew up with Resident Evil, Silent Hill, or Alone in the Dark, like I did, you'll immediately feel at home wandering through eerie locations, managing your limited resources, solving ridiculously elaborate puzzles, and nervously opening every door hoping nothing is waiting on the other side. The atmosphere is fantastic once again, with plenty of twisted, grotesque environments and creatures that look like they escaped from someone's worst nightmare. One thing I found amusing was how the story evolved. The first game started with zombie-like experiments and mad science, but this time things gradually spiral into full-blown cosmic horror. I definitely wasn't expecting such a strong Cthulhu-inspired direction, but it fits surprisingly well and gives the sequel its own identity instead of simply retreading the same ground, in my opinion. Of course, it's still very much an old-school survival horror game, which means it also inherits the genre's less charming habits we all know painfully well. The fixed camera angles can make combat harder than it needs to be, and the controls are occasionally a little clunky and unresponsive. Sometimes I lost a fight because I made a mistake, and sometimes because Caroline decided she wasn't quite interested in aiming where I wanted… Well, that's part of the experience, I suppose! The puzzles are absolutely ruthless in places. I enjoy difficult puzzles in survival horror games, but there were definitely a few moments where I stared at the screen wondering what kind of evil genius designed them this time around… Thankfully, solving them is incredibly satisfying, and the game rewards exploration with plenty of collectibles and multiple (well, two) endings, giving completionists like me another excuse to search every corner. In the end, this sequel delivers pretty much everything I hoped for. It has all the strengths – and yes, all the flaws – of classic fixed-camera survival horror. If you loved the first game or simply miss the days when survival horror was more about atmosphere, puzzles, and tension than constant action, this is an easy recommendation. My soul may have been tormented once again… but I had a great time!
