Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 14 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
A beautiful, tedious example of how not to make a game, least of all one intended to be the successor to one of the greatest games of all time.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

If you enjoy in-depth stories written by Chris Avellone then this is a CRPG for you. But if you don't like hours of dialogue then run away quickly. A very interesting game, that sits in a middle space between CRPGs of old and the current wave of block buster CRPGs. It can be hit or miss depending on your tastes.
Sad it took me so long to get to this one, If you make a game that has so many characters with extra layers of descriptions and dialog (whether they are alien, not from this dimension or simply undead) the game slowly stops to feel like a game and starts being a visual novel. There is nothing "ordinary" about this narrative. I dont think boring humans exist anymore, or if they do their numbers are really low, everything you see is either an alien entity, a cosmic entity or some sort of a robot with its own special back story. (I did enjoy the Bloom quite a bit) and everything has to be special or twisted in some way. Now lets talk about Tides - or special "castoff powers."If you play as a magic user you will use nanites and cyphers (magical devices) to cast powerful wizard like spells, but Tides (the force that only castoff's can use) is a force that ONLY gives you special dialog options, which yes they are relevant to the story, but otherwise do NOTHING ELSE in the game. Oh you get a small symbol painted in the corner of your avatar to match your dominant Tide and you can fiddle with Oom for some bonuses, but thats it.... Tides are completely irrelevant, it doesn't matter which Tide you use, or how you use them. Game is fun, insane, imaginative and nothing like Ive played before, and at times it feels a bit short - like they could have added more chapters or explored more cities, but trust me its not short. It feels like you are reading two very long books about your characters adventures, and just when you got the hang of it they start throwing you into the past with long chapters and decisions and subtext of subtext etc etc. Story could have been told much more straightforward without diluting it so much, and the different POV'es certainly dont help.
I did not like it. The setting is far too incoherent, makes too little sense and is just too much reliant on magical mystery, fantastical things with no explanation and deus ex machina. I understand why it was designed that way, but other games, for example Caves of Qud, pull a similar setting off so, so much better. There i could get a grasp on different cultures, different tribes, different types of technology, which all have their internal logic behind them. In Numenera i could not. And both settings are similarily weird and strange and based on a far, far future setting, so it's not a matter of this theme at self, it's a matter of execution.
Torment: Tides of Numenera,
Actually a very underrated RPG.
You know how they say that every person has a book in them? For the devs of Torment: Tides of Numenera (TToN) that was Planescape: Torment. TToN is an extremely similar game, to a point that if you played P:T, then you'll know most of the twists and turns of TToN's main plot. Sadly, P:T was a superior game in its themes, and had better written companions, making TToN pale in comparison. That, however, isn't a fair metric. On its own, TToN is still an amazing game, set in a unique world. In fact, the best parts of TToN are all about exploring that bizarre setting. The world of Numenera is set in a far future, combing elements of both fantasy and sci-fi, very much in accordance with the phrase "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". The game shows it well, as it combines the off-the-wall oddities, with the mundane reality of people living in their shadows. The game uses the Numenera TTRPG ruleset, which uses the same simple rules for both combat and non-combat encounters, making it one of the best systems I've seen for story-heavy RPGs. The game does have some problems. Chiefly, it's designed to be played several times (at least two, if not three), but the scripted nature of the game doesn't suit more than one playthrough. At least a quarter of the game can be missed if you're not playing with a walkthrough or are psychic: Some quests need to be completed in a certain order for the best outcome, resting can cause irreversible (and often bad) changes to the locations if done too early, and you need a very specific set of skills if you want to get the most out of dialogues. That said, the game is still highly recommended for lovers of story-rich cRPGs. 8/10
I tried to like this... even bought it on Steam, on sale... I simply cannot get into this... Walls of text, nothing but text from every angle... Would not be too terrible, if the writing was engaging... You can sense that whoever was writing all of this, was depressed and was being forced to do the writing before they were released to go home. Maybe a decent voice actor could breathe some ...life?... into the walls of text, but this ... this is a No Go for me.
