Sort of like oldschool Runescape, if it were prettier. And empty. And bad.
The core gameplay loop for this game involves having slap-fights with the enemy of your choosing, then healing very, very slowly by standing in a hot spring. There's no progression save for four numbers that you can increase by winning enough slap-fights - presumably with NPCs, as there's no one else playing (because why would they?). Not great. Not recommended.
Right now, this game doesn't work at all, so I can't recommend buying it.

Literally dead. I was able to create a character, but was never able to actually log into the game proper. Every time I boot it up I just get the title screen then a black screen. As far as I can tell, the server seems to be down and thus the game is completely unplayable. As such, this game shouldn't even be available for sale in its current state.
lack of gameplay, you just slap frogs and the fact no one plays this ruins the whole social aspect of things
At the time of writing this review, the game is currently unplayable (opening to a black screen). Apparently it has been in this state for months, so it should be pulled from the store if there is no intention of fixing it.
실행 안됨.
Unfortunately, as much as I was looking forward to slapping things, this game appears to no longer work. Once you get through character creation you will be stuck on a black screen.
Boring and grindy, with permadeath. Not much variety in enemies or locations. A hard pass.
I love the minimalist art style even if the contrast between bordering colors can make it difficult to make out features occasionally. I also understand this wasn't a big budget MMO or even one individual's personal passion project MMO. I'm completely okay with permadeath as well, even if it's not a personal preference. The issue with this game is the complete lack of meaningful gameplay. You heal in water and hit stuff to upgrade stats. If others played, you could all do this together. The battles are your standard time-based RNG style with no real interactivity. It's an experiment of "can we create an MMORPG in an extremely short # of weeks" with a $2.99 pricetag. Chatventures, another Sokpop MMORPG, embraces the time + resource limitation by embracing classic text-adventure mechanics. It's not uncommon for your character to continue moving despite passing the place you've clicked on, animations not playing despite being engaged in a battle, and other relatively minor bugs. If you want to support Sokpop or are curious what a talented team can produce in the MMORPG/MORPG space in an extremely short deadline and relatively few resources, the $2.99 tag might be worth it. As an game to actually play -- it's definite pass.
