Визуальная новелла со скучным и предсказуемым сюжетом, где вы должны обыгрывать разные романтические отношения, которые, на деле, не особо отличаются друг от друга. Персонажи картонные и плоские, никак к себе не располагающие. Сюжет скучное уныние, а куда в новеллах без хорошего сюжета? Так же, для некоторых может стать преградой отсутствие русского языка. Из плюсов отметил бы неплохую рисовку. Яркая и красивая. Это касается не только персонажей, но и задних фонов. В общем, я бы не рекомендовал данную новеллу. Только время потеряете. Не стоит она своих 30р. Ладно бы один сюжет был. Но их несколько, и они мало чем отличаются друг от друга (чтобы получить достижения, пройти нужно все).

I do realize that small, often unexperienced teams with restricted possibilities can't really compete with large companies. That's always great to add one more game to the number of perfect ones. + very low price + And the last thing which is rather cute that's why I was so reluctant to write this review in a negative way... The developer is eager to help with any issues in the game but, frankly speaking, I don't think that the problem is in outdated drivers. My PC meets all requirements but the game still doesn't work properly. I sincerely tried to do my best but... My time record says 3,5 hours and I managed to squeeze only through one male route. When some players said about an hour for the whole game completion. So, the main problem with this game is that it has toooo long pauses between scenes. Painfully, annoyingly long. The scene may last for about 2 seconds but that transition to the next scene–minutes. I admit that maybe something is wrong with my computer but I don't have any problems with other visual novels. And I'm not the only player complaining about this issue. That plain black screen really didn't last that long after upgrading drivers but their very existence is absolutely wrong. At first it was so long that I even fell asleep while waiting and was woken up by char's voice actor. Then after upgrading drivers I decided to try again but when I was about to get my achievement at the end of the game after shorter but still irritating black screens in-between, the game just crashed and closed on its own. I tried to replay... the same result. The developer always answered rather quickly offering some solutions but I'm just tired trying. Besides, the plot is a bit boring, there was nothing interesting/deep at least in that male route. Before writing it I actually decided to try again, I found the discussion with the same problem (crashing game), there was a guide for that achievement. At first, everything went smoothly, pauses not longer than 10 seconds but... so close to the end of the game there was again that long pause, black screen with just a cursor. I tried to wait passionately, breathed out, went to the kitchen, washed all dirty dishes, returned and saw... a black screen again. That's it! I've tried. This game needs some fixing. There're also some other issues. For example, - skip button works in a strange way. At first I even thought the game froze but to proceed with the unread text one has to 'unskip'. - You can't save before options. - The logic and consistency of the story is also not perfect. For example, to get one achievement I was rude with everyone but at the end of the day I was actually praised by my commander. Once, on the contrary, I tried to fulfill my duty as best as possible, not letting any unnecessary people in but afterwards I was scolded for a bad work. What the heck? But they're some tiny complaints comparing with... It's my first review for an unfinished game. I'd be more than happy to rewrite it after a patch or something but for now it's unplayable. Sorry. P.S. The game has quite a number of positive reviews. Perhaps, it would be a nice experience for someone with more patience and a better computer. I don't consider myself a connoisseur of the romantic visual novel sub-genre by any means, but I will say that Border of her Heart has going for it a particularly interesting and as far as I'm aware unique concept that places you in the role of a border security guard deciding who to let in to town and who to turn away. Your decisions in that regard impact what events happen and which characters you can potentially romance. In short this is a romantic visual novel with legitimate and compelling choices and though short has more than enough replay value to justify the $1.00 price. [B]이 게임의 최대 장점은 풀보이스입니다.[/B] 가격은 1100원. 정가 990원 밖에 안하는데 몇시간이상의 대사가 전부 녹음되어 있습니다. 여자뿐만 아니라 남자들까지요. 게다가 성우들의 연기가 대단합니다. 특히 개성표현이나 감정적인 대사를 말할때는 애니메이션 성우를 기용했나 싶은 생각이 들정도였어요. 모든캐릭터가 모든 대사를 전부 말합니다. 이 점은 정말 대단했습니다. 줄거리: 성에는 매일같이 아주 많은 사람들이 들락거리고 주인공은 성의 성문을 지키는 경비병입니다. 이 게임은 주인공이 성문을 지키면서 들어올 사람/들어오면 안될 사람을 구별하는 게임입니다. 오직 대화내용/상황판단을 통해서 상대가 위험인물인지 아닌지 구별해 내야 하며 이것때문에 영어 필수입니다. 이 게임에 나오는 영어는 대부분 쉬운 단어로 되어 있으니 고등학교수준의 언어정도면 충분히 플레이 가능할겁니다. 다만 귀족관련이나 지명, 범죄에 관련된 단어는 사전찾아봐야 할거에요. [B]아무나 안들여보내 줬다간 나중에 높은 귀족이 자기 안들어보내줬다고 주인공 쪼인트를 까고 아무나 들여보내 줬다간 나중에 높은분이 와서 중대범죄자가 이 성문으로 들어왔다고 주인공 쪼인트를 까는 일이 벌어집니다.[/B] 엔딩이 여러개입니다. 아직 모든 루트는 못봤습니다. 막 클릭했다가 베드엔딩을 보고.. 공략집(커뮤니티허브/가이드)보고 굿 엔딩 1번 보았습니다. 진짜 성우연기가 대단합니다. 범죄자(스포라 인물특정은 안하겠음)가 아주 좋은 목소리로 거짓말을 늘어놓는거.. 저 그거 거짓말인줄 모르고 끝까지 믿었다니까요... 그사람 범죄자 아닐줄 알았는데... ㅠㅠ 더 적었다간 스포가 되니 여기까지. 이 게임에 대해서 적고싶은게 아주 많은데 더 적으면 중대스포가 될거 같아서 여기까지만 하겠습니다. 시스템 특징: 1. 풀보이스 - 게임시작부터 끝까지 주인공을 제외한 모든 캐릭터에 성우가 붙어있고 이 성우 연기가 쩔어줌. 2. 엔딩이 여러개 - 주인공이 어떤 선택을 했느냐(어떤 사기를 당했느냐)에 따라 스토리가 크게 달라집니다 3. 이벤트 CG 없음 - 게임의 모든 장면은 스탠딩씬으로 이루어져 있습니다. 이 게임의 단점이에요. 4. 영어 - 초급~중급자수준의 영어사용 여담인데 위병소에서 까여본적 있으신 분들은 이 게임에 몰입하실수 있으실겁니다. (특히 베드엔딩..) 제가있던 부대 대대장이 바뀌니까 후임 대대장이 부임 첫날부터 막 다 까고 다니는데 첫빠따가 위병소. 그리고 하필 내가 근무하던날.. 어차피 우리 중대는 정식으로 위병소 근무하는게 아니라 하루에 4시간만 근무서서 위병소 스킬이 그리 높지는 않았는데 (평소엔 탄약고나 다른곳의 근무를 섰음) 오자마자 내 전번초 존1나 까버리고 내가 교대하러 가니까 나도 존1나 까고... 내가 작전과장 얼굴이랑 차번호를 어떻게 알아?.... 어휴. 우리부대 앞에 민간인집이 있는데 거기서 키우는 개 머리에 도청기 심어서 우리 감시할수도 있다는 개소리를 듣고 전쟁미치광이라고 생각했음. 이 게임을 하면 그런 위병소병의 고달픔;을 느끼실수도 있습니다. 차이점은 이 게임에 등장하는 모든 캐릭터들은 남/여 구분없이 다 잘생겼음. [h1]Border of her Heart[/h1] 📝 [b][u]Story[/u][/b] In dieser Visual Novel schlüpfen wir in die Rolle eines Wächters an den Stadttoren von Oakengate. Eure Stadt wurde vor kurzem von einer Seuche heimgesucht, sodass nur eine begrenzte Anzahl von Personen die Tore passieren darf. Eure Aufgabe ist es, zu bestimmen wer rein und raus darf. Viele Charaktere gibt es allerdings nicht, dennoch beeinflusst jede Entscheidung das Ende. Dieses kommt aber auch recht schnell, nach maximal 30 Minuten solltet ihr das erste mal durch sein, bei einem Bad Ending teilweise noch schneller. Insgesamt beschäftigt einen diese VN dadurch auch nicht lange, ich war nach nicht einmal 2 Stunden mit allen Endings durch, von welchen es etwa ein dutzend gibt. Um so mehr man erfährt um so unfertiger und sinnloser fühlt sich die Story leider an. Die Elfen die zu Beginn erwähnt werden, von denen man aber nicht viel erfährt. Die Charaktere mit denen man eine Beziehung anfangen kann über die man aber kaum etwas weiß. Der absolut sinnlose Beweggrund des Bösewichts der Geschichte [spoiler](Wenn man den Namen der Stadt übersetzt heißt sie ja Eichentor, das Stadttor ist aber auch Buchenholz, weil der Name dadurch falsch gewählt ist will die Hexe alle Einwohner umbringen, naja und weil sie Menschen hasst)[/spoiler] und noch so einiges mehr. 🎮 [b][u]Gameplay[/u][/b] Genretypisch gibt es eine Hand voll Entscheidungen zu treffen die wie schon erwähnt den Verlauf des Spieles beeinflussen. Einige Entscheidungen sind aber auch unwichtig da sie zu dem gleichen Ergebnis führen. 🎥 [b][u]Grafik[/u][/b] Die Figuren sind von Degica und dadurch dem ein oder anderen auch aus anderen Spielen bekannt. Das ändert natürlich nichts an der guten Qualität. Die Figuren und Hintergründe sehen wirklich gut aus. Gerade deshalb ist es sehr ärgerlich das die wenigen Veränderungen in der Gestik der Charaktere zu Grafikfehlern führt. So steht die Figur auf dem ersten Bild noch locker da und in der nächsten Szene fässt sie sich nachdenklich an`s Kinn. Das Spiel setzt manchmal dann wieder das erste Bild ein und direkt danach wieder das zweite. Dadurch wechseln sich die Bilder ohne Unterbrechung immer wieder ab und es sieht so aus, als ob der Charakter einen Epileptischen Anfall hat. Davon abgesehen gibt es auch keine richtigen Eventbilder und auch keine Gallerie noch nicht einmal für die Endings. Die leicht erotischen Zwischensequenzen die man mit einigen der Damen hat sind zudem noch nicht einmal bildlich dargestellt, man bekommt einfach einen schwarzen Bildschirm vorgesetzt. 🎶 [b][u]Sound[/u][/b] Erfreulich ist dafür, dass das gesamt Spiel vertont ist und die Sprecher machen ihren Job auch recht gut. Man kann jede Figur gut verstehen und die Betonung ist an die Situationen angepasst. Die Hintergrundmelodien sind auch immer sehr passend. ☠︎ [b][u]Fazit [/u][/b] Keine wirklich gute Story, oberflächliche Charaktere und Grafikfehler in kauf nehmen für ein paar nette Charakterzeichnungen und full Voice Acting? Nein danke. Gerade im VN Bereich gibt es so viele kostenlose Titel die Qualitativ und Quantitativ mehr bieten als „Border of her Heart“. Wer alle anderen Titel dieses Genres schon durch hat kann im Sale mal einen Blick auf dieses Spiel werfen, ansonsten sollte man eher die Finger hiervon lassen. Was quite surprised by it) Waifu: 9,000/10 (Healer is bae) Final Verdict: Nice and short, given the price, is a good VN that is comprehensive and enjoyable. Would recommend to those who just want to enjoy a very simple VN. Side Note: In its current state it still has some tedious bugs that make it less enjoyable.

[i]Border of her Heart[/i] ist ein Visual Novel, welches uns in eine mittelalterliche Fantasywelt entführt. Genauer genommen in die Stadt [i]Oakengate[/i], die von einer großen Pest Epidemie heimgesucht wurde und nach Aufhebung der Quarantäne nun dringend Vorräte und arbeitsfähige Menschen benötigt. Hier kommen wir ins Spiel. Unser Protagonist, den wir selber einen Namen geben dürfen, bekommt eine Stelle als Torwache in der Tagesschicht und muss nun entscheiden wer in die Stadt hinein darf und wer hinaus. Doch das ist nicht so einfach wie es vielleicht klingt, denn nicht jeder ist der, für den er sich ausgibt. Nach jedem Arbeitstag haben wir außerdem etwas Freizeit und können die Stadt sowie die nähere Umgebung erkunden und auch einige der Charaktere wieder treffen. Die daraus möglichen Beziehungen sind aber, genau wie der Plot an sich, nur mit einem Augenzwinkern zu betrachten. Dieses (Parodie)spiel zieht den ganzen Unterhaltungsfaktor daraus, dass einfach jedes Otome-Klischee durch den Kakao gezogen wird und dadurch zum Teil sehr absurde und witzige Situationen entstehen. Positiv überrascht war ich von dem guten Voice Acting und das neben 4 weiblichen auch noch 1 männliche Datingoption vorhanden ist. Der Schreibstil ist ganz ok aber nichts Besonderes. Es gibt zwar ein paar Fehler hier und da, aber den Spielfluss stört es dadurch nicht. Ebenso in Ordnung ist das UI und die Spielzeit (schnelle Leser werden wohl so um die 2,5 - 3H Freude haben). Der einzige wirklich negative Punkt ist für mich die hohe Anzahl an Ladebildschirmen. Durch ein Patch wurde die Ladezeit zwar ziemlich verringert aber es nervt immer noch. Auch fühlt es sich an manchen stellen etwas unfertig an. Bonuspluspunkt: + gut erreichbare 100% Errungenschaften [u]Kaufempfehlung:[/u] im Sale für < 0,67€

PROS - Art is lovely - Voiced Neutral - There are 4 female (Angmar, Helewisa, Thiphania, Yggraine) and 1 male (Stephen) romance routes. - The plotline is okay enough, but it's not really engrossing due to lack of choices your character has. - Playthroughs are quick, about 20 minutes or less each. However, expect long black transition screens and random crashes to eat up about 1/3-ish of your playtime. CONS - You play as a male character, and this cannot be changed. - You can pick your character's name, but it's never used in game so there's really no point to customizing your name. - You can't date / romance Mehenilda, the monk. - Settings do not persist between sessions. If you set everything to your liking then it crashes (and it WILL crash, a lot) or you quit, nothing is remembered and you have to set everything up to your liking again. - Created in Visual Novel Maker, so expect long black loading screens on the transitions between scenes, days repeating the exact same text as yesterday, and random crashes. Most of my problems with this game all focus around it being created in 'Visual Novel Maker', and all the buggy baggage that comes it that. If Border of her Heart 2 is made in Ren'Py, I'll probably buy it. Otherwise, I'll avoid anything made in 'Visual Novel Maker' in the future. The bugs make it just too frustrating to enjoy.

The plague mentioned in this game causes everyone to be unable to speak proper english and have horrible grammar and spelling issues. Also you can't wife the witch lady, what the hell? Why would you include a witch lady with big tiddy and you can't date her? I'm into GUYS and I still think its messed up man. At least it was only a dollar, I got pegged by an Elf mommy gf and got a boyfriend. For a dollar that ain't that bad. Some people pay $60 for a game and get neither of those things.
