Overall really cool and fun to play. Its sadly pretty buggy though, which makes some parts pretty annoying. Still i really enjoyed it. I can really recommend it
Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a fantastic return to what made the original Tomb Raider so special, and it still holds up really well as a modernized take on a classic adventure. I played the original a lot back in the day, so coming back to this version on Steam felt like revisiting those iconic moments, just with a smoother, more playable structure. It keeps the spirit of the first game intact while refining the controls, pacing, and overall flow in a way that makes exploration much more enjoyable. What really stands out is the level design. The tombs are clever, layered, and genuinely satisfying to solve. It’s that classic mix of platforming, puzzle-solving, and exploration where you’re constantly observing your environment and figuring out how everything connects. When it clicks, it still feels incredibly rewarding. The atmosphere is also excellent. From ancient ruins to trap-filled chambers, the game does a great job of making every location feel mysterious and dangerous without relying on constant action. There’s a calm, almost meditative rhythm to exploring that gets interrupted at just the right moments with combat or environmental hazards. Combat itself is simple but serviceable. It’s not the main focus, but it works well enough to break up the exploration and keep things from feeling too static. Visually, Anniversary gives the classic locations a nice facelift while still respecting the tone of the original. It feels like a proper reimagining rather than a complete overhaul, which is exactly what it needed to be. If there’s any downside, it’s that some of the modern control improvements still feel a bit stiff compared to today’s standards, and a few sections can be unforgiving. But honestly, that challenge fits the game’s identity. Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a great example of how to modernize a classic without losing its soul. It’s still one of the best ways to experience Lara Croft’s early adventures.
Das Spiel enthält sehr viele Bugs, was es unmöglich macht das Spiel durchzuspielen!
Achei o mais fraco dessa trilogia do ps2, mas é legalzinho
Absolute jank, the worst of the [Legend - Anniversary - Underworld] trilogy imo. I'm about halfway through the game and I just smashed my mouse during the boss fight with the two horses. Combat is janky, platforming is janky, so basically the whole game is. I also don't like the overly cartoony style of the game and how the developers tried to recapture the goofy atmosphere of the original game from 1997. It just doesn't work and looks bad compared to Tomb Raider Legend. This game's too long. I'm halfway through and I can't wait for it to end. It's too hard at times. I don't mind a good puzzle, but this game drags them out. The boss fights are horrible. Getting stunned and railed by the bosses non-stop is no fun. If I enjoyed that, I would've gone and played some Dark Souls. Tomb Raider Legend's linear levels were much more enjoyable to me. I don't play Tomb Raider games to feel like an intellectual, I play them to enjoy the movement tech, and this game missed the point in that regard.
