R6 EXTRATION 4/10
TL;DR : Great concept with fun PvE objectives and excellent Siege gameplay, but the game has been abandoned. No meaningful updates, poor support, and a shrinking player base hold it back. With more operators, better solo play, and ongoing content like a battle pass, it could have been something special. As I state, I play a lot of R6 siege and PvE games before. And to my honesty. This is one of my favourite concept of the game yet. I love the expect of diffrent objectives (instead of the usual defuse or defend the bomb situation) I have been playing this game for god knows how many years now. Most of it on my xbox because it can be a little chill to play on the couch. As I said, I've played a lot of Rainbow Six Siege and PvE games over the years. Honestly, this is one of my favorite game concepts Ubisoft has made. I really like the variety of objectives instead of the usual *defuse the bomb* or *defend the objective* gameplay. I've been playing Siege for years, mostly on my Xbox because it's nice to just sit back and play on the couch. IMPORTANT: Sadly, I can no longer recommend this game at its current price. It no longer receives updates, there are no events, the customer support is poor, and it's becoming harder and harder to find players to queue with. The game feels abandoned, which is a shame. I really wish Ubisoft had spent more time refining and supporting it instead of turning it into what now feels like a quick cash grab.
Interesting points
I love Siege's gameplay mechanics, and I think they translated them into Extraction really well. The biggest downside, however, is the lack of flexibility. In most situations, you still need teammates to support you throughout the mission (although some operators are much better suited for solo play because of their well-balanced abilities). I think solo queue would be much more enjoyable if secondary gadgets and other equipment had a bigger impact and offered more ways to approach missions. Especially now that Siege has so many new operators, Ubisoft could easily bring some of them over to Extraction. It would make the game feel much more alive, introduce new playstyles, and keep the gameplay from becoming repetitive. Quick note: I would also love to see a battle pass or some kind of progression system that gives players a reason to keep playing. Simply leveling up my account just isn't enough motivation for me anymore.
