Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best AU #63, worst JP #84 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 7/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is a true return to form regarding the type of racer it is. Considering the game's install size it's a great sign with the large drivable map (a full Wangan run and return on Yokahama line) is about 22miles which is going to be helpful for some of the long distance rival requirements. The first play of the career and NG+ (Miles and cash rolls over to a NG+ career) are reasonable Though "Master Tune" should only really be tackled once you know the flow of most of the core routes (C1, Bayshore, Yokahama, New Loop) Only major gripes are only minor: *The engine sounds once buying a few cars engine sounds are shared between them like the VR/VQ, Inline 4's (though Vtec's have a slight difference). *The RB/2J should have higher engine outputs at least 700-750ps or 800 once get the parts form the "Tuner". *More engine swaps to be possible, A V8 engine from either Lexus/Toyota, 2-Rotor from the RX8/RX7, Inline 4 from the Lancer Evolutions, And if I was to recommend somethings to include in future be: *Roll cage mostly from a cosmetic pov *Wide Body kits (TRD3000, N2, Z-tune) etc *Ducktail spoilers *TBK Styled front bumpers But all being said I would completely give this a game a solid recommendation and totally should pick this up a game set in Japan, made by Japanese devs and not some cliche and trope ridden mess

Really good game if you like arcade/ touge type of raceing game I recommend it
Fun game to waste some time, really good customization. Although what pisses me off, that some rivals drive like on the train rails, their cornering speeds better than Max Verstappens, like they don't even brake. Nitro seems useless, it just makes "fast" effect, but does pretty much nothing. There is ups and downs, but still, my experience is positive.
At risk of sounding cynical it's pretty telling that one of the most fun and charming racing games in the last few years is really just a modernised PS2 game, but more than anything that should be a compliment to this series. The Tokyo Xtreme Racer series is known to be obtuse and I myself have struggled to really get into it several times, but if you manage to like them eventually then you will like this game. There are a few things to criticise about this game however. The car roster is less interesting than in previous games, which also included some selection of European and American manufacturers. The plot is not very interesting, which is something that can be said of most of these games except this time there is far more dialogue involved. It's not like I play racing games for the plot, but past games made the right choice in conveying the plot mostly through context. The difficulty curve can feel a bit all over the place. Car customisation has become more limited than in previous games. None of these are deal-breakers, but that doesn't mean they're meaningless. That said I can't really recommend any modern single-player racing game over Tokyo Xtreme Racer. At the end of the day it's a fun and challenging racing game with a satisfying driving model, simple but effective gameplay loop, tons of personality and a very high replay value.
I first discovered the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series back in 2000, when I bought TXR2 for my Sega Dreamcast. At the time, I found the game difficult to understand. It felt completely different from every other racing game I had played, and I tried to get into it several times before eventually giving up. And yet, for the next 26 years, I never forgot its unique atmosphere: nighttime Tokyo, legendary Japanese cars, and an excellent soundtrack. So imagine my surprise when, after all these years, I suddenly saw that familiar name on Steam. There was no point hesitating. I was not sure how well the game would run or feel on the Steam Deck OLED, but I decided to take the risk. I have not regretted it for a second. The game is fantastic. I will not list every positive aspect, because most players already know them. I am simply incredibly happy that Genki decided to bring this series back in the modern era. Thank you so much, guys. Playing it feels like returning to my childhood, except now everything is clearer, more engaging, and much more beautiful. The game runs wonderfully on the Steam Deck OLED, the graphics look excellent, and there is a huge selection of legendary Japanese cars. The only thing I am missing is the Subaru Legacy B4. It is not quite my favourite car, since the R34 will always have a permanent place in my heart, but I would still love to see it added. For anyone who remembers the older games in the series, I strongly recommend buying it.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer is a super fun and quite unique street racer simulator game
If you like JDM or Wangan Midnight, this could be a perfect game for you. If you desire to dominate C1 with your 3 rotor FD3S or fly in Wangan with your VR38 Supra, this is the game for you.
You may need to grind a lot though.
However, if you are new to the series, it's better to check some gameplay videos before purchasing, as it's not a typical racing game, but a street racing battle single player RPG. In shutokou battles, don't ever expect sportsmanship , you use all talents and tactics to outmatch every single street racer appearing in your sight and prove that you are the true unrivaled one, the incarnate of Shoto Expressway. Yes, this game is full of chunibyo. I hope Genki will always be genki.
