fun and looks great. one of the few games i never turned the audio down for.
Decent enough point and click adventure game, flooded with style and flavor. The characters are decently written, but I think partially both mine and the games fault I started to lose touch with the narrative right around the map puzzle Combat was easy and the puzzles were few and far between and weren't too hard to get past. Did have a bug after Rock gets punched and has his black eye in the image when he's talking, but not his actual character model. Worth a play on sale, don't think you need to go out of you way though to play this.
Very unique game right here. Never heard of the book until I got this game, the photos alone intrigued me enough to give it a whirl. SPOILERS BELOW!!! Its short, and its not one of those typical stories where the good guys win and everything goes back to normal as many others have mentioned. The bad guy wins which is something you hardly see at all. Definitely recommend a playthrough.
I was excited when this game went on sale as I was very intrigued by the animation style, unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. If you are looking for a game with a similar story arc and gameplay I highly recommend playing Unforeseen Incidents instead Cons: - The English written dialogue had a considerable amount of grammatical mistakes, and was just odd and clunky at times, which not only took you out of the fantasy, but also made the characters feel hollow. This to me is indicative of a poor translation and not perhaps an issue with the original material. If you were to play this in its original French I think it could end up more enjoyable - This was shorter than expected, especially for the price, I completed the whole game in around 3.5 hours, this included exploring basically all dialogue options with every character in every scene. - The plot had major pacing issues. I was ok with the unusual ending had it not felt rushed. - I wanted more detective work. There was one section where you had to piece together evidence matching various missing persons, and it was super satisfying. If there was maybe 2-3 more similar tasks that had been sprinkled throughout it would have really elevated the gameplay. Pros: - I loved the animation style, if anything I wish I could've enjoyed living in it more if there had been some additional environmental interactions - All the sounds were amazing, not just the music but the ambient background sounds and object effects etc really took you into the world.
This game rocks socks. You get to play as inverse Johnny Bravo going on a mystery quest to investigate the gangster that drugged him and attempted to steal his semen. A little buggy. A little too short. But a whole lot of bonkers. I'll definitely be picking up this team's next game.
Loved this adaptation of Vian!
Interesting story, albeit an unusual ending. Great artwork and music
Original story by Boris Vian (Et On Tuera Tous Les Affreux): 3/5 Developer's adaptation: 4/5 Art style of this game: 5/5 (Sooooooo good!) A visual novel with marvelous illustrations and fantastic music!
It’s good. The first half was better than the second half for me. The first half had me believing this was a 9/10, but the second half was more a slog. Beautiful art and good dialogue. Based on a novel, but the ending was abrupt and not my ideal.
