I remember when I was a teen and saw this was kickstarted with many web comic artists contributing to the work. Well over a decade later I decided to play this and I must say this really reminds me of the "lol random" era of internet humour which I have grown out of. It just feels like the writers also dont really have any love for the original work hamlet with lots of jokes about it being boring. I also hate it when the narrator insults you for the choices you make. Very disappointing. I think I would enjoy this if I was twelve or thirteen but as an adult it was a slog. My favourite part was the choose your own adventure book withen the choose your own adventure book with art by andrew hussy, reminded me of early MSPA.

I feel like this game sees how Shakespeare's work can be genuinely wild sometimes, and then took that to the realistic endpoint of giving the player the choice to make the plot even wilder. The art is lovely, the storytelling is pretty funny, and it gave me a recipe for some stew that I'll have to try making sometime. Overall a very nice experience whose repetition is overshadowed by the sheer possibility of finding every ending.
Funny and enjoyable!
Shakespeare parody, and I love it! I'm not a huge fan of visual novels, though I've played a few. However, I enjoyed this one very much. Some bits were hilarious. Who knew murder and death could be so funny? This is a choose-your-own-adventure (or as the author puts it, the book you want to write, as YOU are the author). You play 3 different characters throughout the game, and there are many different options for each scene, and for each scene, there is a checkpoint. There are multiple checkpoints in the game, so you can go back and play out different scenarios. You'll have to play many different scenarios to get all the achievements. And you'll probably have to play all scenarios (or choices) to obtain all the "artwork." There are a total of 102 art pieces, and you collect them just by playing the game, based on the different choices you make. It's not necessary, however, to acquire all (or any) of the artwork to earn all the achievements. Collecting and viewing the artwork (in the Extras section of the menu) is just a fun side thing, but you don't have to collect all of them. I collected a good amount, but I'm probably still missing about 15-20 pieces out of the 102. I did earn all achievements, however. To Be Or Not To Be is a cleverly written game that can be quite funny at times. I would recommend this game to those who love satire, and don't mind a lot of reading.
It is literally a choose-your-own-adventure book with narration. No animation or real gameplay, and it looks like it was a mobile game at one point. I would totally play this on a mobile. It is short and worth some laughs and giggles, but as a PC game, it just is not enough
To Be or Not To Be es desopilante.
