The game is tough, but the sound design is incredibly satisfying

Simply put, one of the best Tetris clones on steam, bar none. The reversi-styled color gimmick and mechanic makes it very unique. There are so many color schemes and cosmetic options to choose from that you won't run out of things to see and play. If you're a Tetris fanatic, purchase this game as soon as possible, you will not regret it! It also needs to be on GOG and portmaster for those that want more mediums and other things to play on because this is a masterpiece.

One of the most creative stacker/Tetris-like games I've ever played, joined by AMAZING sound effects. Honestly, the sound design in this game is phenomenal, and each mode is unique in that regard! I beat every Marathon mode in the game (including CONSOLE/DEATH) in 66 hours, but I've already put hundreds of hours in other stacker games. The challenges and progression of difficulty is very fun! Absolutely recommend this one.

Tetrachroma puts a neat twist on Tetris. Lines can't be cleared unless every tile in the row is the same color, and locking a tetromino flips the color of adjacent tiles and tiles beyond that in the four cardinal directions until there is a void or a tile of the same color of the newly locked piece. It's well-balanced and fun to play. The game uses SRS, has a healthy set of options (covers things like DAS, ARR, SDR, keybindings for 180 rotations and hard shifts), the UI / visual style I find to be quite polished and the soundtrack is charming too. Among the gamemodes included, there's an "instant" mode that omits special blocks and gets rid of the tile-flipping animations to speed up the gameplay. I wish "instant" was a toggle for every gamemode (with its own leaderboard) so that I could play everything else with the animations disabled. The 'no special blocks' modifier could then be something like "classic" mode. Moans aside, I really like Tetrachroma. I honestly think it's one for the ages. If you like Tetris, you should try it.

This is the most fun I've had with Tetris-style gameplay in a very long time. The amount of content you get is huge and the custom music feature is just icing on the cake.

I was looking for good Tetr.... uhhhh... falling block game and stumbled upon this. I had read too many bad things about Tetris Connected after it's last(?) update and the other versions on here are older than I'd like or don't have the features I want. At first I didn't know if I'd like the color matching component (and there's at least one mode that doesn't have that, anyway), but I've come to really enjoy it. If you enjoy Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Columns, etc..... this is the game for you. Great price, even off sale, and great value.

A masterful twist on the original, TETRACHROMA controls beautifully and completely restructures how one looks at Tetris. Enough achievements and unlockable skins to keep you constantly working at a goal, while the massive assortment of modes and difficulties keeps things fresh. This beats out even official Tetris games.

One of the best Tetris clones I've ever played! Its very easy to see how much love and attention to detail was put into this game. Everything is very well done and the main hook of the game is brilliantly executed and makes the basic Tetris seem too easy in comparison. Lots of gamemode options for a good amount of variety, SRS mechanics, visual customization options, and an amazing ear worm soundtrack consisting mostly of fun remixes of classical music. Can't believe this escaped me for so long. Would recommend to Tetris fans, feels good enough to be an official Tetris game
