In Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems. Switch between five playable characters to uncover the surreal secrets of this strange town in a modern mystery adventure game from the creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. The deeper you go, the weirder it gets.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This feels like the classics I grew up with in the 90s (specifically Loom and The Secret of Monkey Island), but more refined. The puzzles feel more logical, I think the writing is better, the UI and visuals are more polished, and I'm SO GLAD they got Mark Ferrari to do pixel art again. Absolutely beautiful. When Double Fine did a Kickstarter for a new point-and-click adventure game, THIS is what I was hoping for. Broken Age is a good game in its own way, but to me it doesn't feel the same at all.
Thimbleweed Park is a classic point-and-click game and it is a truly amazing game. I had a lot of fun playing it. It definitely has some of the issues, though with point and click games where some of the puzzles are so obtuse that they become a little bit frustrating trying to figure out. I played this game completely on the steam deck docked to a TV and I had no real issues playing the game as it runs perfectly fine, I additionally used an Xbox controller and had no issues. This is a great game and definitely a must play if you’d like this genre, it’s not super long and the achievements are fairly easy to get. I really have no complaints about the game, I’m not great at this genre so I had to use a guide to get through it on my first play through, but I still had a blast. I highly recommend this game. It runs perfectly fine on the steam deck, though I haven’t tried it on the steam machine. I assume it’ll run perfectly fine. 5/5

Thimbleweed Park — 10/10 As someone who grew up with point & click adventures in the 90s, Thimbleweed Park feels like a love letter to that entire era. The pixel art, weird characters, dry humor and classic inventory-based puzzles immediately reminded me of the old LucasArts days. I especially love that the game doesn't try to simplify everything for a modern audience — you actually have to think, experiment and occasionally feel completely lost, just like back then. The multiple playable characters, the strange little town and the mystery surrounding it all kept me hooked from beginning to end. What I loved: • Fantastic retro pixel art • Clever, proper old-school puzzles • Great humor and wonderfully strange characters • Multiple playable characters • Tons of references for classic adventure fans • Feels nostalgic without feeling outdated For someone like me who still considers the 90s the golden age of point & click adventures, this was an absolute joy. 10/10 — exactly the kind of adventure game I still want to play today.
Good game. On hard mode the puzzles in the first half was great but the last half it got a little challenging and it did get a little frustrating at times. Long playtime too so the fatigue was starting to set in as well. Otherwise I enjoyed it overall, I'll definitely buy the 2nd one when it comes out in 2028.
Excellent point and click!
ich kenne auch noch monkey island 1, klar, das hat mir zwar nie gefallen, mehr so die indy teile. aber das game ist sehr gut gemacht. typisch wie die früheren adventures.
The best point and click I've played in years
Thimbleweed Park is a lot of disparate ideas and character threads in search of a story to hold them together. It doesn't find that story, but there's a pervasive feeling of mystery, of regrets and missing pieces, that keeps the game compelling even when it struggles with tone, in-jokes, and dropped plot elements. If you've heard certain things about it that make you skeptical, I can say that it's worth letting the game speak for itself. I enjoyed playing a new 9-verb graphic adventure, a format that's largely slipped away as UIs for this genre have simplified. It was fun to have to think about the difference between "using" something and opening it or pushing it again. I got stumped 2 or 3 times total and needed a light hint to push me forward, but by and large I was able to work out all the puzzles myself. The 5-character structure had echoes of Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle, but explored some new dynamics as well: Each character's personality and skillset determines how they'll react to commands, how other NPCs will treat them, and what parts of the town they can access. Some have items they don't want to part with, and a "home turf" they don't want other characters exploring. As the game progresses, you'll need to have them work together to solve multi-part problems and it's very satisfying to pull off a big chain of actions to achieve the sort of ridiculous, petty goal that's the hallmark of Lucasarts adventures. I don't think it's the best possible articulation of its ideas and influences. I rolled my eyes at some of the blander in-jokes and repetitive tics in the humor. I'm not against where it ultimately leads, some of the material in the ending was surprisingly affecting, but I don't think it properly lays the groundwork or explores the implications in a satisfying enough way. But even in its somewhat undercooked state, I had a good time with it. If you're a sucker for this genre like me, especially the Lucasarts library, you might feel similarly.
Game is good.
