Solid game. Not extremely scary or anything like that, but the great sprite work and sound design carries it nicely. I was waiting for it for years and it was worth the wait.
I wrote a negative review but now that the bugs have been addressed I was finally able to get through the game. I did enjoy the plot, I like cosmic horror generally and this was an interesting take on it. That being said, I think that a couple of QOL changes might help the experience. Like not having the menu default to new game, because when you die and wanna skip through the death screen, you have a high chance of starting a new game on accident, which is mildly annoying. I also think the interface for the sprint should be a bit more clear, because it's hard to know how much energy you have left. There's also the occasional bug that causes the game to freeze and doesn't you to interact or move, you kinda just have to quit out when that happens.

Really good Game! When i bought it I hadn't very high expectations regarding the horror aspect but damn i was wrong. The entire underlying theme was captivating and triggered an unpleasant feeling in me. The weird world and its feeling of uncertainty was Peak Also the creepy Gameboy music did a fantastic job. One of the greatest indie horror games out there. The atmosphere, level design, soundtrack and attention to detail is outta this world. Real sad that it couldn't release during its prime hype period so more people could appreciate it
I am astonished that this game has only about 40 reviews - the art quality alone makes it great in my eyes! But I also really enjoyed the game itself - it had a decent plot that didn't overstay it's welcome, non-intrusive collectibles and even replayability with different routes to try out. The game is fairly short and it probably would not scare you if you are a horror fan, but this is what actually makes it great - a self-contained "spooky" story with great visuals.
This is basically zombies but displayed in that uncanny mannequin style due to plastination. So that means I was terrified the entire time and will not be able to get those faces and screams out of my head and they will be the first thing I imagine before going to bed. Loved the art and music too!
So much love went into this game and it SHOWS. The story telling, attention to detail, and music really create a very cool atmosphere reminiscent of old gameboy games. The horror elements are so classic and fun. Absolutely would recommend.
A creepy little 2-bit adventure that's well worth your time. The museum itself is sprawling, with a great level of detail and care put into all the exhibits, back rooms, and secrets you can expect to find (or not find) within any given playthrough. The various 'scares' you can encounter all landed pretty well for me. Most of this was carried by the game's excellent sound design. The enemies' gibbering voices were genuinely creepy at times, and the chiptune soundtrack (the aquarium and Native American history exhibit tracks in particular) is wonderfully haunting. An improved map system would probably help keep the player on track in some places, but getting lost in the museum honestly has its own charm. Well recommended to anyone looking for something eerie to explore.
Great atmosphere and aesthetic. I found navigation confusing sometimes (due to the frequently-switching perspectives), but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the gameplay. Has multiple endings, too.
This game is so damn scary. I love it.
