The story has a nice amount of fun little twists that play on your expectations. Much like Her Lie I Tried To Believe the story is something I don't want to go into deeply because it is better to experience it on your own. Also like Hangover Cat Purrroduction's other title; there are times where the writing could use a bit of work. I don't think this is a necessarily a bad thing. If the developer responds to feedback and patches any found mistakes as they did for their other game; it would improve the quality of life of this one. [h1]Just when you thought you understood[/h1] This title has an interesting mechanic that plays on the twist filled story. There are a few moments in the story that allow you to view the story from a different character's viewpoint. This fills in missing details, explains strange moments, and adds to the backstory. This made the story pretty fun to complete. In my personal opinion the only major con is the ending moments. I honestly didn't understand the twist that happened. I might have just been trying to read it too fast; but in the end I was just left confused. This game will take you a little under two hours depending on your read speed. It's a fun little read filled with a nice amount of twists and can be worth your time. I don't really know why but when I started playing [I] The Spell [/i] I didn't expect a lot. But it's short (about 60,000 words), so I thought I could find time for this read. Perhaps my low expectations had something to do with dev's name and logo. I don't want to judge but...'Hangover Cat Purrroduction' O_o really?! That cat on the logo makes me sick. Sorry, but... Fortunately, quite soon I realized how wrong I was. In general I quite enjoyed the writing, though the game has some typos (nothing that can't be easily fixed). The story becomes very captivating rather soon. The plot is intriguing, the feeling of tension kept me really rooted. The very first scene grabbed my attention and I just couldn't drop the game till I learned everything. At some point the plot seemed quite obvious, welp, that's actually rather natural as it's not some fantasy story with too many possibilities. Real life is that simple but those emotions hidden behind, emotions I was forced to feel made the story so gripping, so fascinating! And I quite liked the art. It's nice enough tho nothing breathtaking. It's a kinetic visual novel, you can't really influence the story. But it has a nice feature when at some point after we get the general impression 'from the side', we can choose different char's perspective of the story. I can't say I wasn't surprised learning new details. So unusual, so unpredictable! I liked reading the same story from his completely unexpected, so exciting side. All his attempts to do right things in the girl's regard are extremely sweet. His story was especially touching for me. Just for his perspective the review is definitely going to be positive. I lloved his story so much! His personality made me feel quite emotional. I'm really grateful for his image, that was a nice experience! And...spell. I don't want to spoil anything. Dann ihr Onkel Steve bei dem sie jetzt wiederwillig lebt und ihre Ehemalige Grundschul Lehrerin Roxanne [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Es ist eine Kinetic Novel, das heisst wir treffen keine Entscheidungen sondern lesen uns durch die Lineare Story. Die Geschichte wird, wie schon gesagt nacheinander aus der Sicht von den 3 Charakteren erzählt, ich kann nicht mehr dazu sagen aufgrund von Spoilern. Die Story selbst ist spannend und man will unbedingt mehr erfahren. Ich finde es auch mal eine gute Idee die selbe Story aus der Sicht von mehreren Charakteren zu sehen. Einiges habe ich aber nicht wirklich verstanden und gegen Ende hin hatte ich irgendwie mehr Fragen als Antworten oder ich habe nicht genau verstanden was der Schreiber hier genau erzählen wollte. Musik ist völlig in Ordnung [h1] Pro/Contra [/h1] + Gute Story + Musik ist völlig OK + Nette Idee das man die Story aus der Sicht von mehreren Charakteren sieht - Leider keine Achievements [h1] Fazit [/h1] Ein doch ganz gutes Kinetic Novel. great story. Really like the Character. the plot is really good and made you want to read more until you know whats going on. you should buy this game :)

That was an amazing read and im glad i experienced it. Not what i expected going in, it was actually far better than what i expected. Great art, great use of sound effects, and great charcters. My only complaint is that there couldve been more artwork, especially for the ending. EASY recommendation, id say more about why it was so good but that would spoil it

First of all, I'll start by saying that even if it doesn't last long (5h or so), it's totally worth the cost even at full price. This is a kinetic novel, meaning that you have no meaningful choice allowed and therefore no replayability but it's perfect as it is. The art is good, the story is consistant and well-written, the music is not the best I've ever heard but it sure serves well its purpose of accompanying us on this journey. The characters are bright, not dumb or irritating, you get to know them, to see them evolve, to acknowledge their issues and to feel empathy. My favourite one is the male main character, he has a really tortured personality but his awkwardness makes him so hilarious at times, I really came to like him. His actual job was my first guess at the beginning of the game. The outcome may have been obvious for some too but honestly, until the very last sentence, I prayed for a good ending. I'll be honest, I cried at the end.

Wow, i didn't know what to expect jumping into this visual novel, i was really engrossed from the start, filled with plot twists and watching the main characters grow, amazing story <3 It was well worth the 6 hours it took me to read. I don't usually play these types of games too often but this was an amazing one. 10/10 recommend highly :D
