This game is absolutely amazing. I don't think People who have played on PC for years understand, but Console gamers don't see games like this, or atleast not promos that catch their attention. Now I game on PC and I see things everywhere. So just finding this game recently and then it looks like its 5 or 6 years old and this is the remastered version is just mind blowing. None the less, this game is awesome.

クトゥルフ神話モチーフのTPS。 謎解きをして、異形の敵と戦うこともある探偵業を楽しめる。 全体的に不気味で、陰鬱な雰囲気が漂う破滅しそうな雰囲気の世界観が凄く良い。 化け物は気持ち悪いし強いけど、そりゃ化け物なんだからそうだわな… 敵を倒すことは絶対に必要ではない。 自分の手札から使える手段を選び、消耗を最低限にし、時には逃げ出ししてと所詮人間でしかない主人公にはそれが重要なことなんだ。

Вона затягує не відразу, але дайте їй 30 хвилин — і ви помітите, як поспішаєте додому після роботи, щоб знову зануритися в похмуру атмосферу Окмунда. Сюжет (5/5): Це найсильніша сторона гри. Історія неймовірно захоплива, а розгалуження справді дивують. Бувають моменти, коли ти впевнений, що завершив лінію персонажа, але гра витягує з рукава такий поворот, що залишаєшся приємно вражений. Розслідування (5/5): Механіка «Чортогів розуму» реалізована чудово. Коли відчуваєш, що загубив нитку сюжету, цей інструмент ідеально допомагає структурувати факти та зрозуміти, куди рухатися далі. Візуал (5/5): Нуарне місто виглядає атмосферно, тварюки — справді лякають, а головний герой… що ж, він виглядає саме так, як я після подорожі Укрзалізницею Львів-Київ. 10/10 за реалізм. Ігролад (4/5): Функціонально все на місці, хоча й без «супер-комфорту». Майте на увазі: інтерфейс інколи буває підступним. Наприклад, щоб прочитати опис навички, потрібно завестись на неї — не натискати! Я так випадково вкачав непотрібну прокачку патронів, просто намагаючись дізнатися, що вона дає. Боївка (3/5): Відчувається як вторинний елемент. Вона не дуже зручна, але, на щастя, у цій грі вона скоріше опціональна. Що засмутило: Човни. Пересування затопленими вулицями на човні здається дещо зайвим. Хотілося б більше містків або альтернативних шляхів. До того ж, за перші 5 годин гри човен двічі застрягав у текстурах. Доводиться просто постійно тримати «Shift» і плисти далі. Підсумок: Це гра з душею, яку хочеться вивчати до останнього куточка. Оцінка: 4.4 / 5

The setting is dark, eerie, and full of mystery — the kind of Lovecraftian dread that slowly seeps into you the longer you play. The story and investigations are captivating, and the sense of unease never really leaves you, which is exactly what makes it so good. One of the strongest aspects of the game is the detective work. I really like how the game doesn’t hold your hand — you have to think, explore, and piece together clues on your own. Solving cases feels satisfying and immersive, as if you’re actually uncovering something hidden in a cursed city. However, the game isn’t perfect. The combat feels clunky and unpolished, and the character movement is just average at best. It’s clear the focus was on atmosphere and storytelling rather than action. Also, the achievements are tied to specific story decisions, which means you can easily miss out on some unless you’re willing to replay the game or choose differently. Despite its flaws, The Sinking City is a unique experience — one that fans of mystery, horror, and Lovecraftian worlds should definitely try. The atmosphere alone makes it worth playing. Score: 10/10 for atmosphere and story, 5/10 for combat.
