WHY DID I NEVER LEAVE A REVIEW FOR THIS GAME I EVEN MAKE A VOICE IN IT MY CHARACTER DESERVES [REDACTED]
I been following Imaginary Friend series since my twin introduce me to Imaginary Friend Asylum, this game needs more support for the next chapter, this game is underrated you DON'T need to play Imaginary Friend Asylum or The Friends We Left Behind in order to understand the game/lore, they will reference back from the Asylum/Friend We Left Behind, overall I do recommend this game!
I loved this. 100% worth the buy. I'm excited for chapter 2. There is fashion! We get to wear cute outfits. My favorite was the cozy cranberry sweater. Each outfit has it's own hairstyle look too (fabulous). I also really like that it feels like we're living the day Annabelle does through the minigames. Nothing felt like filler. I couldn't unsee the horse/dog legs Annabelle had in her walk animation and the clothes texture janks out a lot to see panty shots (legit leave all of this in because it fits the game vibes, art direction, aesthetic). Devs: consider fashion pantyhose or bloomers for some of the outfits to make this jank look cuter. I'd love to see a polish pass on the sewing minigame UI so it fits the art style we see in the outfits and world environment. Something simple like making the "X" spots and sewing needle the PS2 aesthetic/paper cut outs like the sewing patterns. It broke the immersion seeing a programmer-centric minigame with no art direction.
Heyyy, I’m so sorry to hear about your guy’s situation. I simply want to start off by saying that this game was 100% worth the wait. The time and effort the both of yall spent is honestly amazing. My favourite part about the game is definitely the voice acting! My favourite character in ifi so far is Triss. She’s genuinely such a funny character and is really well written. The game yes, may have released with bugs but you guys took no time to fix all the bugs you could find and I would say that it’s pretty awesome of you guys. The people who complained about it being buggy when it first came out upsets me a lot. Specifically the ones who didn’t even give it a second chance. Overall the storytelling is genuinely amazing. I really like the groundskeeper and that lunch lady that (magoroku? I think that’s how you spell their name. Idk) voiced. This game deserves to have a popular fan base. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who’s a fan of horror and mystery. Sending yall best wishes 🫂
The characters design and story is so cool and interesting. I have played the other games and each game will make you fall for the characters. Plus this is such a unique spin on a horror game if you want something different
game is a little janky, like an old ps2 game, but even with that it was so peak!! i absolutely adore the designs of the imaginary friends! I hope to see more!
My only minor complaint is that some of the voice acting is a little underwhelming But other than that, it's a nice little game! I've always been a fan of psychological (horror) stuff and this scratches that itch pretty nicely, looking forward to how the story will progress going forward! ^-^
This game is a hidden gem. The low poly PS1 inspired art style gives it such a nostalgic feel that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it immediately. The sewing patterns and outfit changes were such a cute addition too I loved being able to change Annabelle’s look. The story is really interesting, watching everyone’s imaginary friends come to life at Grimwell State Institution kept me hooked, and the voice actors did a good job bringing the characters to life. Just a heads up: this is a slow paced story game. The controls are super straightforward just arrow keys, your mouse, and E to interact. Nothing demanding, so anyone can play it. For a smaller indie game, it delivers a solid experience. That said, I do wish the other characters felt more integrated into the world. During scenes like laundry or class, they’re just standing or sitting around instead of actually doing things. More NPCs moving through the hallways would’ve made Grimwell feel more alive, though maybe the emptiness is intentional to keep that eerie vibe. Watching Annabelle’s reality unravel is genuinely unsettling in the best way. Annabelle deserves all the happiness in the world and I’m rooting for her! I really enjoyed this game and I’m looking forward to Chapter Two! P.S. I really hope the devs consider adding to the Steam Point Shop wallpapers, emoticons, and badges for this game would be so cute!
Nice work, Grant, another good game, i like it, i hope Chapter 2 will surprise me like the 1st
A very fun experience with a great way of cinematic camera work and story telling. Definitely worth the price.
