Noktasal tıklama esaslı ilerleyen oyun oldukça zor ilerliyor. Gereksiz bulmacalar var. Bir de bu yahudilerin inanılmaz kurban rolündeyken arka kapıdan sinsice işleyen ve bitmeyen oyunlarından bıktık artık. Yahudiler bile oynamaz gibi geldi bana. Önermiyorum.

The Shivah: Kosher Edition is a small, rough-edged adventure game built around an unusual protagonist — a Jewish rabbi facing moral choices rather than heroic feats. The Kosher Edition improves the visuals and presentation while deliberately preserving the structure and roughness of the original. The mechanics are modest, and the storytelling can be corny at times, but this only adds to the game’s distinctive charm. A sincere indie experience that stands apart from mainstream adventure games.

This would have otherwise been an enjoyable point-and-click adventure, but I couldn't shake the bad taste in my mouth left from this strange narrative. The protagonist is a deeply conservative rabbi who demonstrably harmed members of his congregation due to his rigid and exclusionary views. I would've expected major character development, especially given the philosophical nature of this game. Nope! The bigoted rabbi ends the story even more entrenched in his decision to be a Zionist, exclusionary gatekeeper. Really disappointing and I can't recommend this game given that choice.

As vezes estou navegando em canais do youtube de fullgames e acabo vendo que tenho o jogo na biblioteca. E ai como alguns só farmava cartinhas, eu nem sabia que eram fáceis e bons de zerar. Este game entro nessa linha, comprei nem sei quando e como e é curtinho, dois finais em menos de 1hora e meia. Neste game conhecemos o personagem Russel Stone, com igreja vazia e bolsos com baratas, ele tenta uma série de tentativas para quitar sua dívida de 500 mil. Sua vida piora muito quando um detetive investiga a morte de um seguidor de sua igreja, o morto deixou uma herança. E visando resolver seus problemas nosso personagem tomara a frente da policia. O jogo tem uma forte crítica social sobre a Fé judaica e sobre os valores de quem esta na Igreja, isso que achei interessante, O game aborda que: "Quem esta na igreja realmente segue os valores que prega ". É simples e tem essa base para rolar tudo.

Love Wadjet Eye Games normally but this game is short, has a very banal story with no surprises. Oddly ultra Orthodox narrative where the protgonist is a very conservative rabbi is kind of fun but without any twist it just feels like one of these strange Christian themed copies of Super Mario that would pop up once in a blue moon if you ever downloaded a huge pack of NES roms. But in this case it is your average point n click instead of Super Mario. Art is also extremely dull. It's strange to feel that the game would have been visually so much better of they just skipped color and just made it totally black and white like the logo.. It's cheap though.

tl;dr i had such high hopes for this game, and its both poorly designed and is vivid and blatant antisemitism. dont play this game, dont give them money. I searched on Steam for a game that was Jewish, and as somebody who is an Orthodox Jew, I was really excited for this game. It is pretty simple, and there is Jewish iconography everywhere. The cursor is the Star of David, and the whole setting is around multiple rabbis. What I read in the description was somehow apt, but the main character—for being a rabbi—is completely un-rabbi-like. For being a supposed figure representing our culture, he is the most toxic, argumentative, and disgusting example of a human being. When he makes choices, everybody around him hails him as this significant figure. I was expecting this to be about Shivah, so I expected it to be about redemption. Instead, it was a descent. This character, who is already very flawed and terrible, never makes a moral choice throughout the entire game Not only that, but the antagonist and the major plotline is blatantly and extremely anti-Semitic. The plotline of the story is about a main character acting as a vigilante and uncovering that a person he used to know (and whom he had kicked out of his synagogue) has been killed. He goes to fight the assassin responsible for the murder directly instead of going to the police. Later, he discovers another rabbi in a different shul that is bigger, more elaborate, better made, and very popular with the people. However, the rabbi everyone likes turns out to be part of the mafia. He is a criminal mastermind utilizing his synagogue as a method of extortion and mass murder. Furthermore, even if you get past the actual plot of the story and the terribleness of that, playing the game is almost impossible without a walkthrough. You are given basically no clues about what to do next. Even if you try everything, there are certain gates where you need to find passwords for computers (and read other people's emails without their permission as an "esteemed rabbi" would do). You just have to just guess the passwords that are the merging of different clues with no guidance and no feedback if you are on the right track. Overall, it was a game I tried to play normally, but there is just no way to finish all of the endings without a walkthrough. There is always only one choice and no direction, so you just have to try randomly to figure out where to go next and brute force every single interactable, of which there are many. I've played a number of games that have a similar style, and none of them were as bad as this one in terms of showing the player what comes next. All in all, I'm frankly disgusted with a game where rabbis kidnap, steal, commit murder, and extort, all for personal monetary profit. yuck

I appreciated the dive into Jewish cultural practices and sincere engagement with a moral philosophy that encourages grappling with hard questions rather than finding easy answers. Not an amazing game, but an intriguing short story.
