The Ritual on Weylyn Island

Very immersive. Fun short, creepy game with lots of atmosphere. Even if you see themes and tropes often used in other horror games, if you like story, there's plenty of fun here since it's done well, and the bottom line for the player was fun.

Hmm...also das Spiel an sich ist ok! Wenn man allerdings gerade SOMA fertig hat, muss man hier einfach nur lachen :D... Bekommt trotzdem einen Daumen nach oben von mir, ist ein kleiner Titel dem ich Leute empfehlen kann die neu im Horror Genre sind, aber es mal unbedingt probieren wollen...Easy Gameplay und hat ein paar kleine Jumpscares. This game is a good horror survival game for any who like ones with a unique set of characters and storyline! The only things I will say that aren't so good with the game is that the voice acting ain't too shabby, but it could be better. The game could've also been longer and had a wider range of characters and setting.

Gra o niesamowitym potencjale. Widać, że devowie mieli pomysły, a raczej kilka pomysłów, które starczyłyby może na demo. Niestety to zbyt mało na grę. Całość zajęła mi niecałe 1,5h z czego większość czasu biegłem przed siebie. 5 rozdziałów, w każdym może jedna zagadka, reszta to bezsensowne bieganie nudne w chu*. Scenariusz jest zwyczajnie zły, wychodząc z założeń które nakreślają fabułę ktoś kto umie pisać mógłby stworzyć perełkę. Niestety po raz kolejny okazuje się, że scenariusza nie powinna pisać recepcjonistka w przerwie na papierosa. Nie piszę nic o grafice bo gra ma swoje lata, ale z tego co jest można by było coś wyrzeźbić gdyby tylko był tam jakiś sensowniejszy i ciekawszy scenariusz, a nie symulator biegania z kijem w du***.

This is genuinely one of the worst games I think I've ever played. The storyline is absolute garbage, the controls while simple feel like ♥♥♥♥. Interacting with things feels slow, movement is delayed (as in input lag) and you feel very slidey. Jumping feels horrible and glitchy. There's a framerate drop every time you hop, it's one of those kind of games. Visually low quality but terribly optimized somehow.

The Ritual on Weylyn Island is a nice short but sweet horror game. You play as Moira Weylyn who’s Grandfather just passed away, she comes to his Island to be with family and to hear his last will and testament. But not all is right on the Island and soon Moira will know why. What I liked about this game. Good atmosphere. Liked the voice acting even those some of it felt phoned in. tapes of the Grandfather were good. And I liked the ending felt satisfactory. Now what I did not like about it, it was to short, I feel like it could have been a bit longer. Could have used more tapes, notes, and the like, maybe get to know the family, what they like and don’t like. Maybe add a little town you can go in. Maybe add a bit more family members. But anyway praise for this game is a bit high, for a short game like this. But still this was a good game and I would like a remake of this someday. Maybe give it to the people that made What Remains of Edith Finch and this game would vary vary good. So if you want a nice but short horror game. You won’t go wrong with this just maybe wait for it to be on sale before you get it.

'The Ritual on Weylyn Island' non è un brutto gioco. E' semplicemente un gioco del tutto dimenticabile. La storia segue con una certa prevedibilità i canoni (o gli stereotipi) del genere, pur sostenuta da un doppiaggio non da buttare. La grafica non lascia di certo gridare al miracolo, e anche il sonoro non stupisce per originalità o efficacia. Dal punto di vista della giocabilità, ci troviamo di fronte alla classica avventura in prima persona, che alterna un'esplorazione ingabbiata da un percorso del tutto prefissato a brevi sezioni più intense durante le quali il giocatore dovrà sfuggire al mostro di turno. Tutto già visto e già giocato con altri titoli ben più riusciti, insomma. La longevità si attesta su un paio d'ore, e una volta completato ritengo che il fattore di replay sia praticamente nullo. Non me la sento di consigliarlo, a meno che il prezzo non scenda considerevolmente, magari in occasione di qualche offerta.
