The Rise of the Golden Idol is a new type of detective game where you freely explore each crime scene at your own pace, using logic to build your own theories. Click to collect clues and analyze each discovery to determine what happened, why, and who was responsible.
Convicted prisoners, new age cult leaders, corporate middle management and many more figures have a role to play in the wider mystery that unfolds — each driven by their own agenda. Scour each scene for key details to put names to faces and deduce their motives.
A reworked interface lets you quickly gather key terms from observations and witness testimonies, greatly expanding the depth and variety of each scenario. Upon the conclusion of each chapter, a new type of puzzle lets you revisit past deductions, recap the events of these interconnected cases, and investigate the threads that unify them.

An exceedingly vast improvement to its predecessor game: Case of the Golden Idol. There is an abundance of content to be played and Rise of the Golden Idol does a particularly great job with its storytelling! Having played the previous game isn't necessarily a requirement to be able to enjoy this one, BUT I will at least say that playing it DOES make some moments much more gripping as you take your own detective-journey through the events that take place in this game. Should you decide to buy the DLC for this, I would say HIGHLY recommend making sure you play through Case of the Golden Idol first. Buyer be wary, though, as certain parts of the DLC are WAY... I don't want to say 'tougher' but I don't want to say they feel like complete leaps in logic either... but I'd also say these moments are in the vast minority in the DLC. Just know that if there's a couple of points where you feel stuck, you're not alone. I can't stress enough how interesting the lore of this series is. It's to the point where after having played through all the content I STILL feel the urge to make an unhinged diagram to puzzle out interconnected details between stories. It really takes you for a wild ride!

One of the best follow-ups to Return of the Obra Dinn! But if you like it, absolutely get the DLC. The DLCs are head-and-shoulders above the main campaign.

和前作相比有进有退，但是整体来说很好玩。只是部分解密强行要求背下大量信息再自己组合，不然就反反复复进不同场景查看，再加上切换场景有个轻微的读取时间，切得越频繁就越不爽，我后来直接拿白纸出来手记才体验好一些。
오브라딘계 추리게임 장르의 투탑이 돌아왔어요 참신하고 신박한 판타지 요소가 나오되 그 요소가 핍진성 있고 합리적이게 사용되어야 한다는 특수설정 미스터리의 기본적 법칙에 충시란 게임이에요 DLC가 많아 추가로 나가는 돈은 많지만, DLC도 하나 빼고는 모두 재미있게 즐길 수 있었어요 다만 전작보다 더 못생겨진 와꾸들은 여전한 진입장벽이네요
