The story itself is okay, it takes a lot of inspiration from agatha christie novels. The biggest issues I have are that this "remake" doesn't really do much to improve on the original version other than lumping all three episodes in to one game. There are graphical issues, and sometimes the spoken dialog doesn't match the subtitles (not often but it's there). In one case in chapter 2 there is a game breaking bug that causes you to have to alt+f4 to force quit the game. Most of the achievements are story related but some (related to chapter performance) seem arbitrary - as there didn't seem to be anything that would prevent you from obtaining the points - just that you could lose them by getting hints. I would say if you like point and click it's still an acceptable game, but I wouldn't pay full price for it either.
This is one of the best games I've ever played, it reminds of Agatha Christie' novels, a complete plot with an eloquent language and characters. you keep puzzled until the last chapter , the truth will be revealed plus all the hidden secrets in an astonishing way leaving no gap behind. The curtain will draw. I highly recommend this game.
This one was an enjoying and relaxing game - with a couple twists I did not expect!

норм
I liked chapter 1 and 2 but 3 was just full of pixel hunting, which ruins most of the game experience for me. Also, there were a few minigames/moves that were not intuitive. There also seemed to be some plot holes and missing plot points. At some parts, the game allowed you to play step 3 of a series of steps before you have completed step 2, which was frustrating to say the least.
I first played the original game when Chapter 1 came out for free on another gaming platform, where I instantly loved the setting, the style and the plot of the story. Years later I decided to pick the game up here on steam and play the whole thing. This game is heavily influenced by the works of Agatha Christie, which as a fan of her novels and works, greatly appeals to me. The positive points of this game are the story, which is engaging, clever and makes you want to find out more with every event in the plot. The puzzles are challenging but not impossible to complete, with no time limit or pressure to get the correct answer first time. There are hints available to use at any time if you get stuck, but this will decrease your score and determine which kind of achievements you get at the end of each chapter. The controls of the game are very easy to understand, and finding clues and items becomes easier the more practice you get by playing the story. There is a notebook you can read throughout the story, where the characters write observations of events and other individuals in the story, which I thought was a great addition to the game as it allows you to get a more in-depth grasp on the story and if you take a break from the game for some time, you can quickly get back up to speed and pick up where you left off. As with any game there are some downsides. The graphics and lip synch animation to match the audio are not the best I have seen however, when considering the type of game this is and the cost of it, this didn't matter too much and it did not distract from the enjoyment whilst playing. I had read in a lot of the reviews there were some glitches throughout that meant some player had to restart sections from an older save file. This did happen to me once in my playthrough, where I could not progress due to the animation freezing when a character was climbing on top of the train. I was about to restart from a very old save file near the start of the chapter, but after calling it a day and going back online 2 days later, the issue seemed to resolve itself and the animation worked perfectly. My advice to prevent this from happening is to save often throughout the story, the game does autosave for you, but in the case of my game freezing the autosave file was after the glitch had started and I had no previous manual save file to go back too that wasn't close to where I was in the story. Overall I think this game is definitely worth playing, it has such a rich and entertaining story, especially if you are a fan of murder mysteries. I found myself wanting to play more and more each evening just to find out who, what and why. I would love to see a sequel one day or another mystery/story based game like this one.
