When the sun goes down on the last night of summer camp, nine teenage counselors are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror. The only thing worse than the blood-drenched locals and creatures hunting them are the unimaginable choices you must make to help them survive.

концовки одинаково бессмысленны, QTE испытание сделаны через задницу(ничего не регает), но игра нормасик
After initial issues getting into this game, I did eventually enjoy it. The summer camp trope was my main issue as well as the slow pacing in the early chapters. It was only when I reached Chapter 6, maybe 7 at the latest that I was fully invested. Although the chapter seemed to progress comparatively faster than the preceeding ones. The Quarry is interesting as there is no true "good" or "bad" ending. In a way you end up sympathizing with both the Hackett family, as well as Silas. Well, perhaps not necessarily the entire Hackett family (I am looking at you, Constance). I only grew a particular fondness for Chris and Travis. Especially Travis. Maybe Bobby as well. Another thing that bothered me were the facial animations. They were almost... uncanny. Hyper-realistic, hyper-mobilized, and very exaggerated during some instances. I also could not fail but notice that on some occassions, the animations appeared to glitch? Lazy eyes, especially when the characters held their faces at a 3/4 angle, misplaced jaws, giving most of them an overbite, and also the lips. It's strange, considering that they supposedly used the same technology provided to animate Thanos' facial animations. Either way, it's worth checking the game out.
very interesting keeps you engaged jump scares but not resident evil scary
Very good visuals, super immersive and it has some great characters and a cool story that changes depending on the choices you make throughout it like a movie that you change the plot of. Very cool, would reccomend.

good but not my type of game and will not try all the alternate endings. i will watch someone else play it
i loved this but its kinda a bit rushed and unexplained on some parts .
First of all, credit where it's due, it's quite obvious that there was a huge budget allocated to graphics and overall atmosphere of the game, because the character models are extremely detailed, graphics in general are amazing, paired with really good soundtrack, which results in the game having great atmosphere overall. This is unfortunately where the praise ends. From gameplay point of view, the game is barely playable. The game is quite obviously designed exclusively with controller in mind and never tested on KB&M combo, which results in pretty clunky gameplay. Aside from that, another huge issue is the very weird camera behavior, where the camera jumps around, and behaves erratically. Some places are too dark to see anything, combined with weird camera angles this makes exploring very unpleasant. The "gameplay" is heavily based on various quick time events and random button presses, and occasional decisions you get to make, most of which make no sense at all or have no effect on the story. Since this is a narrative game, story is a very important aspect. Unfortunately, this is another weak point of the game. Game's storyline fits the definition of so called "Idiot Plot": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot_plot Characters perpetually make ludicrously stupid decisions outside of your control, which in turn results in very convoluted storyline and issues that could've been prevented, if someone did go out of their way to do most clinically insane thing to do. Even though lot of these choices are presented to you, you cannot avoid doing the obviously crazy thing, you can just pick the flavor of stupid you want to go with. Most of the characters could have prevented the whole series of events before they event started if they used even the tiniest bit of common sense. When the writers were deciding which horror clichés they should include in the game, they just decided to go with "yes". This is quite obvious from early on and just gets worse as the story progresses. Story isn't necessarily always bad and had some interesting developments and twists, some of the characters actually become likable or interesting as it progresses, but after short time you get hit in the face with the sad reality of the writing quality which makes it frustrating again. Game attempts to foreshadow plot on multiple occasions and fails miserably. So usually it's either direct spoiler, or "possible future" that's usually inconsequential and probably won't happen. Sometimes it gets so ridiculous that you end up in the situation where the surprise reveal around chapter 5 was actually crystal clear since the prologue. What drove me to finish the story was the mix of hope that it might get better combined with sunken cost fallacy or some kind of Stockholm syndrome. The icing on the cake is that ending credits are unskippable (unless you close the game), despite the fact that if I was responsible for some of the decisions mentioned above I would make sure people wouldn't find out. Overall, it baffles me that game that had this kind of budget made so many of these questionable choices without anyone stopping for a moment to start questioning that. Considering the price tag for both the base game and the DLCs, that the prime example of how big corporations abuse DLCs to squeeze people for more money for nothing, this game simply isn't worth it. Maybe somewhere deep in the alternative game modes or some extra content there's some hidden gem I totally missed, maybe the movie mode is more enjoyable than actual gameplay, or playing this game through coop (even though it feels weird that option even exists in the game like this) somehow vindicates the game, but I seriously doubt it, as most of the issues will still apply.
Jogo muito divertido, a história te prende bastante, recomendo!, porém aconselho esperar uma promoção pq mais de R$300 é foda tbm... kkkkkkk
