About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Very fun game with a lot of variety of situations and characters! Gets quite easy if you do a lot of side quests and build up your character well, but I still enjoyed the story, puzzles and action. Highly recommend it you like action RPGs. s

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Good
I love this game, and its predecessor. Gorgeous graphics, immersive gameplay, a compelling story with great writing that frequently had me laughing or really struggling to determine which choices I should make. I love the level of character detail, they look and move like real people without giving any uncanny valley creepiness. I really enjoy how catchy all the Auntie's Choice songs are, and all of the voice acting has excellent direction. I only have two complaints. I really liked the way you could tinker with weapons in the first Outer Worlds and level them up, here there's only one gun that levels up and it gets pretty boring having to use it long enough to fully level it up. The second is the low level cap. I get that they wanted players to specialize in only a few skills instead of spreading the points out but that's only evident after a complete playthrough, I wish that they had hinted at that a bit more in the beginning. Also, I get how with the flaws/perks system you don't want people respeccing easily, but none at all except for one after a quick tutorial that doesn't really give you enough experience to determine how much you're going to enjoy anything? Nah, too strict. Should have given people just one additional chance once they hit level 10. I really hope the upcoming DLC allows for a higher level cap, because otherwise after it drops you're going to have players maxing out their level before they're even halfway through all the content. Other than that, great overall game. I like how customizable the difficulty menu was, the skill of the voice actors, how similar to real life it feels when you're frequently made to choose between two groups that are both really awful in their own ways. It's so good that I've already pre-purchased the two upcoming DLCs, I hope the first one arrives soon.
Better than the first game which was amazing. 11/10
A solid 7/10, good performance on a mid-end PC. Better graphics than the first and combat felt better although you're very overpowered by the mid-game. Flaws are way more interesting this time around, but not enough of them, I didn't see any after hour 40. Companions are fine, but no real reason to care about them or take anyone other than the ones you like. Story was kinda meh, the first one was better. It doesn't make a lot of sense to be an Earth Directorate Agent when you have no real authority. Will likely play again in the future/when they release DLC, but felt I saw pretty much everything by the end.
