The Mortuary Assistant

I would like to preface this review by saying that, deep down, at its core, this is actually a surprisingly cozy little game. Embalming fluid preparation. Careful documentation. The gentle, methodical rhythm of prepping a body for burial. Genuinely relaxing stuff. Very soothing. Very ASMR. If only the demons would let me enjoy it. Every single time I settled into the quiet, meditative groove of my job, some horrifying entity would show up at the edge of the room politely but firmly requesting that I abandon the autopsy table immediately, please, right now, thank you, and honestly the sheer audacity of asking me to leave a task half finished is possibly the scariest part of this entire experience. I have never had my professional work ethic personally attacked by a demon before. Deeply rude. If I have one complaint, it's that some of the jump scares lean a little heavy handed compared to the quieter, creepier moments, which honestly do more heavy lifting on their own.

As a Proctologist you will poop yourself, jk. Since I was a kid I have experienced A LOT of paranormal activities even now being 37yrs old I’m desensitized to these things. The game has a great creepy atmosphere to it and even gave me good chills a few times. I hope they make another one or maybe a game where you play as a cemetery caretaker.

I expected a lot more from this game across the board after seeing so many people recommend it. Honestly, it feels more confusing than actually good. The tutorial and the game itself are extremely vague, and it takes way too long just to figure out what's going on. The horror elements aren't that scary or interesting, and they get repetitive super fast. It honestly reminds me of that SpongeBob meme with the Flying Dutchman. Overall, I don't recommend this game. 5/10

i surprisingly really enjoyed this game. it was interesting to go through all of the steps but it was super creepy as well. i liked the different modes available. i hope they randomly come out with more updates for this game because i would love to boot it back up!

Love the horror here. I was so scared for the event when I played for the first few time, now thanks to this game that I kinda immune to horror

This game is epic. Even in 2026.

...I got this game because I was bored. I never thought anything of it...just another game! Now after first playthrough I don't know what to do with myself....should I play another playthrough? Part of me says yeah go ahead.....and the other part says HELL NO! I'm very confused in positive way....I'm going to give it a like...and for other people I'll leave this advice: don't play it! I'll leave it that way, let this sink in...

1. Узнать что в игре есть база знаний определения демона спустя 4-5 часов - это я! 2. За десяток попыток ни разу не угадать кто одержимость - это я! 3. Впервые воспользоваться печкой для сжигания тел на 7-й попытке - это тоже я! 4. Генератор мурашек по любому скрипу и поводу - это я! 5. Орать как не в себя и будить всех соседей по всему кварталу - опять же я! 6. С десяток попыток так и не выучить правильное произношение глутаральдегида - я! 7. Пол ночной смены искать куда прошлый ассистент засунул скальпели - снова я! 8. Несколько раз произнести и сразу же забыть последовательность имени демона - разумеется я! 9. Пройти 1-ю смену на 1-ю концовку и сразу после завершить на 6-ю - ну снова я! 10. Открывать новые секреты и изучать лор с отвисшей челюстью - ну тут я без вопросов! 10 "это же я" из 10!
