Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 18 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

On paper, The Mortuary Assistant should get repetitive fast. You’re doing largely the same tasks over and over, night after night. But somehow, this game flips that monotony into tension. The loop itself is familiar, yet the constantly shifting, randomly generated events make every playthrough feel alive, unpredictable, and deeply uncomfortable in the best way possible. What really elevates this game beyond a “creepy job sim” is its lore. The story runs far deeper than you expect, and it rewards players who stick with it, piece things together, and revisit it more than once. If you haven’t seen the "Valerie" or "Secret, you’re genuinely missing out. Look up how. Those final cutscenes are chilling, beautifully acted, and emotionally haunting in a way few indie horror games ever achieve. The narrative, the voice acting, and the gameplay all work in perfect harmony here. There’s a reason this game is getting a movie adaptation it’s not just scary, it’s thoughtfully crafted horror. Every time I come back to it, I notice something new, catch a different detail, or experience a moment I didn’t before. If you’re a horror fan, this is a must-play. The Mortuary Assistant isn’t just good it’s a modern indie horror masterpiece.

Let me tell you...when my father died (I was 7 years old) , I became my mother's movie buddy. I watched ALL the best horror movies of the 80's/90's with that woman. I pride myself on being UNSCARABLE. This game gave me the heebie jeebies! This game freaked me THE F*&K OUT!! What an experience!! I encountered some initial blips, forceps were missing etc 1 hour of playtime was me just trying to rotate that mf gurney around!! But... once I got into the swing of things, oh boy!! I'm having SO MUCH FUN with this game. If you like horror, please give this a go. You will NOT be disappointed I promise you
Mortuary Assistant is a truly outstanding game in it's atmosphere and horror elements and probably the scariest game I have ever played. However, this game is still incredibly buggy unfortunately. Out of my three runs, I have managed to softlock me twice because I interacted with something while either getting ragdolled by the demon at the same moment or pausing the game, causing me to not be able to close whatever I had opened anymore and therefore being completely unable to progress the game further since I couldn't interact with anything anymore. When it works, this game is amazing, but it is reaaaallly frustrating when it doesn't. After 3 years, I feel like this kind of stuff should have been fixed.
Está bastante bien, pero la mecánica cuando ya la conoces se acaba haciendo un poco repetitiva.
Actually one of the scariest games I have ever played. In my opinion the best scares are the subtle ones. There are multiple situations in which you don't get a jumpscare, but rather having a creature sit in a corner staring at you for a few seconds before it disappears. That's a lot more effectice and creative than just having a cheap jumpscare being shoved in your face.
good game. My computer just sucks ass so it lags but it's a really fun game. It has good story and some pretty good jumpscares
I recently got this game and my experiences with it have been mixed. The game has some great scares and a killer atmosphere but the gameplay is rough. The game could use a little more instruction on how to use things like the tablet system. I messed up my first shift in the game because I didn't understand how to properly use the tablet system, which was extremely frustrating because my first shift took more than an hour to complete. If that was my only gripe with this game then I would still recommend it, however, the game is also extremely glitchy. When I logged on to try and redo my first shift, I experienced a game breaking bug that locked the tablet menu overlay to my screen making it impossible to do anything. I really want to like this game but after two games I'm already at my wits end with it.
The Mortuary Assistant is definitely a top shelf horror experience. It plays to its strengths, doesn't overstay its welcome, and leaves a lasting impression. Play it at night.
in another effort to review every video game that has helped distract me from the crushing weight of my own mortality and the unavoidable horrors of the human condition: i'd give this game a 10/10 with the footnote: i don't care what people say, i would never have anything bad to say about you mortuary video game
