Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 31 → 6.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game is a must play. The gameplay is tight and responsive and makes you feel like a master when you pull off a difficult platforming section, it harkens back to the original ninja gaiden series but is what the reboot of that franchise should have been. It shows that just because a core concept is old doesn't mean it can't be remade, improved upon, and perfected. The story is also genuinely great and had me actually chuckling out loud while playing at times.

The Messenger is a fun throwback game with a simple, but enjoyable sense of humor. The mechanics seem simple, but some of the challenge stages are quite challenging precision platform stages. I played through until the game shifted to have you replay through some of the same areas. While the mechanic is interesting, I wasn't ready to commit any more time to it. Overall a solid game with unique boss fights.
Don't get fooled by those tags, this game isn't really a Metroidvania, but it's still a great time regardless! Spectacular art, great platforming, and very silly vibes. Again, not a Metroidvania, it's completely linear for the first many hours, then eventually it will give you the chance to backtrack. This game is a nice challenge, too. Some parts were actually a little bit annoying, but usually those parts were optional and just for extra collectibles if you want to get all achievements (which I did). Also, can't forget the incredible music! Fits right in with right in with the rest of your favorite classic games' soundtracks that you've grown nostalgic for.
Pixel, risate e colpi di scena: The Messenger è pura magia videoludica!
The Messenger is arguably less a single game and more two halves with an ingenious hinge. One perspective sees it as an incredible synthesis of genres, using time travel to literally bridge the gap between two classic Nintendo console eras. The alternative perspective, however, sees the second half as a drop in momentum—a shift from exhilarating, bespoke platforming challenges to a more open-ended, but less tightly-designed, world of repetitive traversal.
Fun metroidvania that doesn't overstay its welcome
İlk yarısı ayrı ikinci yarısı ayrı güzel
