About
The Message from Deep Space is an odyssey of puzzles. Take the role of the mission's Translator, working alongside a scrappy band of scientists, and venture headfirst into the world of deciphering an alien language --- completely from the ground up.
Set in 1973, Earth is the recipient of a meteorite that broadcasts radio waves. In the role of the mission's Translator, the player is responsible for designing responses to the meteorite's transmissions, which, if correct, will elicit new messages from the meteorite. Only through this radio wave dialogue will patterns, words, syntax, and meaning all take form, leaving but one question:
What is it the aliens want to say?
Translate an alien language
Learn about an alien civilization

Inspired by The Golden Record aboard the Voyager I space probe, The Message from Deep Space takes a realistic approach to deciphering an interstellar message. Beginning with the limited universal constants available to technologically advanced civilizations, the message spans a range of real-world fields of math & science. Decoding the message is tough, but with the support of the game's meticulous linguist, the single-minded computer programmer, and the affable astronomer, it is a challenge fit for anyone with Curiosity and Perseverance.

See! I knew paying attention in physics lessons would come in handy! What a banger of a puzzle. best puzzle/exploration game I experienced since Outer Wilds. (If you haven't played Outer Wilds, a) go play it, and b) this is some of the highest praise I can give for a game)
I almost never leave review for games, but for this one it felt necessary. My time playing "The Message from Deep Space" was incredibly meaningful, and it found a way to connect my love for language, science, and computers all into one beautiful experience. I highly recommend, both for scientists and those fascinated by the Universe. This will be one of those games (like "Outer Wilds") that I will rave about for years and years :)

One of the most unique and remarkable gaming experiences I've had in a while. Chants of Senaar meets math/science. Quite challenging at times and definitely using a bunch of my old high school science. Had to get hints and take breaks to get through a few challenging puzzles, but well worth it. A clear premise executed beautifully.
Oh my god. This is going to sound so nerdy but I mean it with 100% sincerity. This game fulfills one of my long-held sci-fi wishes, which is to see first contact built up from first principles. Arrival is fine. Project Hail Mary is a little better. But THIS game is exactly the story the little astronomy & linguistics nerd in me has been waiting for forever. I worry that I can't recommend this to any of my friends because it so perfectly fits a niche I'm interested in. I worry I can't recommend it because maybe I'm leaning on a CS and Astronomy background that my friends don't have. But you better be sure that I WILL be recommending this to everyone, because Bautista is bae and everyone needs to meet him.

Good game, I'm stupid
This game is creative, amazingly well done, and extremely creative. A few of the puzzles were frustrating but the vast majority are very well done and clever. The writing is also fantastic, I was completely immersed the entire time. Can not recommend this game enough.
I haven't finished the game yet, but so far, it's one of my top games of all time. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I played the demo, and I've been recommending the full release to just about everyone I know. It's definitely confusing at times, but every time something just clicks with a frequency definition it makes it all worth it. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Really impressive. If you're a math or linguistic nerd it's mandatory, buy immediately.
A really nice way to spend an evening or twenty. It's really exciting to figure out exactly what the aliens are trying to say, and the characters make sure it never becomes too exhausting. Some of the later transmissions (at 500+) could use some refining - figuring out exactly how to phrase your responses can be hard - but the Discord is happy to give you hints, and hopefully some of the more confusing transmissions will be fixed.
