Absolutely not worth the price. Firstly, it is an asset flip. That being said if you ARE going to just asset flip (which is fine), you're gameplay better be rock solid. It isn't. This game is about a 2 hours long walking sim, but given that it gives you ZERO context or direction for anything you are supposed to do, find, or anywhere you need to go, it turns into a 4 hour slog of clicking on everything and running back and fourth to try and figure out how to progress. The main character must have run about 100km in game by the time it was over. Not even kidding lol. There is a single enemy that can actually hurt you, and the enemy is faster than you so trying to outrun it is basically impossible. It also can see you from clear across the map if you are in its line of sight. Lastly, the story is meaningless, and abruptly ends with very little answers or payoff. I didn't play the other two games this dev has made, so I'm not sure if it ties into those, but that being said as a standalone game the story just doesn't really tell itself well or fulfill anything meaningful at the end. All these things together, $20 for this while I'm sure covers the asset costs, and time spent making the game, is 100% not worth it. Don't buy this for anything more than like $7. The only redeeming factor is the game ran very smooth and looked great visually. It's just sad that beyond that the game didn't hold up.

Cosmic Fear
The game looks absolutely amazing and has some of the best climate of all walking sims out there. Visuals and music are absolutely stunning. It also runs very well. I had a couple of jump scares that I didn't see coming just because of the noises in the dark, or behind me. It seems that the game is put together very well and it knows what it is supposed to be. Love it even more than Land of Pain or Alien Cube. Possibly made by only one guy. Day one buy for me. Take me to space, please. Hope the entire game will be so good. 150-180 fps on ultra in 3400x1440p with DLSS native and FG on. No bugs or glitches. Very minor stutter in two places so far.
The game that you literally need to hold W and Shift for 3 hours. That’s basically the whole experience. Honestly I can’t recommend this game at all. It had so many issues with game design. Not fun, not engaging, frustrating, boring, and absolutely not scary. This game could be finished less than 2 hours but because there is no clear path in the game you end up going in many directions that end up being nothing and that makes it so frustrating. I genuinely wanted to be done halfway through because it was that exhausting. Basically in this game you walk for 5 minutes if you are lucky to find a right path, you find a key or an object which in many cases you have to look very carefully around because you might miss tiny key on table and end up circling around for 30 minutes, then an earthquake or bright RGB color happens in sky, then read 5 long documents and then repeat same thing. Nothing interesting really happens in this game. There are few monster chases in this game which is really bad and you end up dying because no way you can outrun it unless you do a right path. I also found secret suitcases and opened the door which you have to play all those chapters again to get the keys and when I finally reached the door, the payoff was so underwhelming that it made the whole thing feel like a waste of time. The ending sequence is literally a 3–4 minute walk with nothing happening, and then you get hit with an ending that’s just… nothing.
Also if they needed this protagonist why not capture him and send him through all these troubles that might end up killing him? Doesn't make any sense!
The positive thing is the visuals were good, but the overuse of RGB lights killed any creepy atmosphere the game was trying to have. Performance was fine too, no major bugs. But none of that saves the actual experience. Games should be fun and engaging.
In light of the first two games, Cosmic Fear absolutely takes things to another level. Even though I haven't finished the game yet, I can already say that I'm really enjoying it so far. There is proper tension here. The jump scares are spot on, and the lighting and environments are amazing, as always. But what really works for me is that eerie sense of suspense. The game constantly makes you feel like something is about to happen, and that makes everything even scarier. I can hear a scream, know exactly what it is, and somehow the game still manages to catch me off guard. That is something not every horror game can pull off. A jump scare is one thing, but creating an atmosphere where you're already expecting something and it STILL gets you is another. This is how you make a horror game. UPDATE – Finished the game (around 5 hours) Now that I have finished Cosmic Fear, I still stand by my first impression: this is how you make a horror game. There were, however, a couple of things that bothered me. The creature encounters felt like there was supposed to be a stealth element, but hiding in the darkness didn't seem particularly effective. The creature could still spot me, and once it started chasing me, it was almost impossible to outrun unless I already had a good head start. The other issue was the lack of direction when searching for certain items. I don't expect the game to hold my hand, but sometimes I wasn't really solving a puzzle or figuring something out — I simply had no idea where I was supposed to be looking. Apart from these issues, my opinion hasn't changed. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and having played The Land of Pain and The Alien Cube, I think Cosmic Fear takes things to another level. I definitely recommend it. This is how you make a horror game.
Honestly went into this game not expecting anything. Saw it on new releases and said sure I like Cosmic and Lovecraftian Horror. OVERALL Game is VERY pretty and has great set pieces, Good atmosphere and honestly felt myself drawn to look around and find secrets. I do recommend playing this game as it was a nice refresher from the Indie horror I have been used to playing recently and it was well done. It was a 2 and a Half Hour Experience if your wondering about my playtime.
very good
To be fair, I probably would have left a neutral review, but Steam doesn’t allow that, so the closest option is a negative review. It took me about 5 hours to finish the game, and that’s with thoroughly searching almost every area for documents, secrets, and hidden items. The game definitely has atmosphere, so props to the developers for that. Another thing I really liked was the lack of a map or constant directions. You actually have to explore, pay attention, and figure things out on your own, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, other than that, I found the game very boring and not scary at all. You can basically go through most of the game using only two buttons: W and Shift. That’s pretty much it. If it weren’t for my habit of searching every corner for hidden gems, secrets, and documents, I probably could have finished the entire game in just a couple of hours. Also, there are no achievements to unlock. As someone who enjoys achievement hunting in pretty much every game I play, that’s a big downside for me. Overall, the atmosphere and exploration are good, but the gameplay itself is far too simple, repetitive, and uneventful for me to recommend it.
Alessandro's best work yet. I couldn't put it down. The environmental visuals and ambience go beyond AAA status. The dread that builds up slowly, knowing something's about to happen. You brace for it thinking you're ready, and it still manages to surprise you. Walking sim with some fetch quests and exploration rewards. Journal notes help the story along. It helps if you've played the previous 2 games to tie it all together a bit more, but not at all necessary. This one stands on its own just fine. If you want a horror experience without all the cheap jump scares with over amped sounds, this is a must play.
