The Mermaid Mask

This is one of my favorite games ever. I have played this game twice and I hate replaying games. Everything in this is masterfully crafted. The art, voice acting, characters, music, and the most important part the mystery. I cannot think of a single complain to even mention. Every moment I spent playing this was a highlight. The way the mystery unfolds kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The characters are charming and funny as well as sympathetic and relatable. The music is so well made and suits every scene its in. As well as the sound design and voice acting being phenomenal. You can hear the echoing of a tight space, a character puts a pipe in their mouth in the animation and you can hear the actor did as well, just everything in this game is so nice to listen to and watch. Speaking of! The characters are wonderfully animated in the games unique style and its so eye catching. They all have different nervous ticks and its fun to watch for. And the mouth movement actually aligns with the words they're saying. And on the topic of saying, every character has dialogue for every piece of evidence. That is insane. The puzzles are fun and engaging. It makes you feel clever when you solve them. Oh! And when you finish the game you're rewarded with a lengthy artbook which is just a blast to read. After playing twice I still struggle to pick a favorite character or moment to highlight its truly remarkable all around. I could keep gushing about this game for hours upon hours. But I urge you, yes you reading this, to PLEASE play it for yourself.
