The Mermaid Mask

I've been waiting for the release of Mermaid Mask since the announcement of its development, and it was well worth the wait! There were more clues than I had expected, and the story just kept going; every time I saw the percentage gauge of how much progress I made, I was surprised to see how much I hadn't gone through yet (surprised in a good way). The 3D modeling for the clues, puzzles, witness statements, and more added such a cute and fun factor of interactivity, and the voice actors for everyone were phenomenal! Amazing job to everyone who worked on this, and I can't wait for the next game, whenever that may be.

Tangle Tower is awesome and this is more of the same, which is great. Good mystery, solid story and characters which is the most important. My gosh, incredible presentation. Voice acting and direction is impeccable, clever writing and incredible music - and characters are brought to life with very lively animations. Really elevate the whole experience. My only minor complaint is some of the puzzles are a little obtuse. For most of them, I actually really like how they don't really give you much information. Part of the puzzle is figuring out what you're looking at, what it represents and what the goal is, along with actually moving the pieces to solve it. But, the lack of direction does hurt a few puzzles where the presentation is too abstract that you can't really figure out what's going on. I would say there was only 1 or 2 of those though. I could have done with more puzzles overall though really. Anyways, great stuff. These Detective Grimoire games are really great and I'm happy SFB continues to make them.

Great sequel that's just as good as Tangle Tower -- maybe even better! I enjoyed the ways in which the tone is different (a little more....lovecraftian, shall we say). I thought it differentiated it nicely as its own game, while also having some really enjoyable tie-ins to Tangle Tower. Was not expecting to be referencing material from that game throughout playing this one (not to solve puzzles, but just to fully enjoy the lore) but it really enhanced the experience for me. I became really, really attached to the characters in this game, more so than in Tangle Tower. I found the ending particularly satisfying and am looking forward to seeing how the devs choose to continue with this series, if they do choose to!

This game is so well done, every time I play a Detective Grimoire game I am hooked. I hope we see another game in the future!

This is the best detective game I think I have ever played. You can see how much time, effort, and love was put into this installment of the series. The puzzles we just the right amount of difficulty. The characters had so much life to them and the witty jokes and comments were so goofy. I love how all the games have been connected so far and the mentions of previous characters from the past 2 entries were so nice. I heavily recommend playing the other two first if you haven't but this one is my favorite so far. So excited to see what's next in store for this series !

just as incredible as Tangle Tower, if not even better. this was so worth the wait! the art, animations, voice acting, music, and mystery are just top notch. A must-have for lovers of point-n-click puzzle games that actually have heart and soul.

Absolutely amazing game. So much fun and the artwork was out of this world.

One of the best detective games I've ever played. Fixed nearly every issue I had with Tangle Tower and even made me feel slightly better about some of the decisions Tangle Tower made itself. Absolutely blown away.

This is the best one so far, great memorable characters and puzzles 10/10!
