This game is a lot of fun. It is a RPG version of Clue with skills and upgrades being your choice. Being able to have combat encounters that can be solved via diplomacy or combat is a lot of fun. There are multiple red herrings and clues given. There are also multiple suspects with their own reasons to commit the murder. You do not get a straight answer and have to gather multiple clues and balance out who has the most evidence against them. For example in my first case the evidence was the killer was strong, did not use poison, was wealthy. wore boots and dropped a necklace. This evidence added all together made it very clear who it was. My first clear took about 3 hours. I look forward to another playthrough.
I had a lot of fun with this game, good money/fun ratio
Female hunters were so common in the middle ages?
Guter Ansatz, schlechte Unsetzung, mittelmässiges Game.
Without a doubt, a highly great game mix the genre of detective and rpg game Randomly generated, with rpg, deduction & skill mechanics and VERYYYYYYY underrated. People need to know more about this game, only found this gem by chance and NOT regret playing it. Amazing and thrilling experience for sure, thank you Dev!
Basic but Fun
Great game, recommended!
Review in English and in Dutch (Nederlands). This game is very original! It's a combination of a card-fighting game with the goal of solving a mystery. It's even replayable because the murderer is different each time you start. There are even a few different dialogues or objects when you restart. It's not super easy, and after playing once, you advance to a higher level, even if you partially identified the wrong murderer. It's impressive how this indie developer created this using Game Maker and added so many graphics. There's also criticism, especially from a Dutch person like me. :-) For example, during the fights, you have to wait quite a while for the NPCs after your own turn. It would be more fun and interactive if you could control your allies as well. This way, you'd also understand which cards they can use. Of course, this would make the game easier, but the developers could come up with a solution for that. A second point of criticism is that it would be more enjoyable to be able to choose more cards, which could be done at night while dreaming. Just give an extra skill point every day. That's more fun than occasionally being allowed to do this and having most cards randomly placed in your deck. = = = Nederlands = = = Deze game is heel origineel!
A great game with a surprising amount of depth despite its quirks. The murder mystery itself has the same structure every run, with minor variations, but there's a lot of variety in perks, cards, and quest variants. Don't expect high logic. If your ingame journal tells you a clue is correct, do yourself a favor and just roll with it. At low difficulties, the fun is in seeing how the murder mystery plays out. Combat isn't a challenge, so just play through the mystery and enjoy experiencing all the wacky systems like tactical diplomacy and deduction mode. All the systems have a breezy simplicity and whimsy that keeps the game from being a slog. Why does deduction mode involve shooting at words over ghosts? Because I'm a genius imperial era Judge Dredd, probably. At the highest difficulty, the fun is in overcoming the weird curveballs the game throws at you. Try to cram in as many quests you can each day to meet the Magister-General's strict deadline for solving the mystery. Sweet talk the bandits to save your health, bluff to save your time and money. Push your luck and explore to the bottom of a dangerous ancient crypt. Get rich and bribe the church for intel on a character's motives, or get knocked out and lose a whole day recovering. Don't blame me when the Magister-General shows up expecting results and fires you for your incompetence. Specific builds I thought were very fun:

Hallucinator: see extra imaginary enemies, and try to figure out which ones are really there
Windwalker: teleport across the battlefield with a hammer smash
Talking sword: summon a rare talking sword and watch it skewer your enemies as it insults them ruthlessly
