The Lonely Gorilla

ゴリラゲーです。好きですよね？ゴリラ。 なんなら常日頃からゴリラの事を考えてますよね？わかりますよ。 このゲームは最終的に、ゴリラのチームを作って猛獣どもと戦うサバイバルゲームみたいな感じを目指しているようです。クラフト要素も実装するみたいで、お前頭良すぎさすがゴリラゴリラゴリラって感じですが、とりあえずゴリラライフシミュレーターみたいになりそうです。 さて現状報告。今のところはゴリラでジャングルを散歩するくらいしか出来ません。どこまで歩いてもジャングルしかなく、動物やら猛獣やら一切いません。開発者に直接聞いたところ「ヒョウならもういるよ」って言われたんですけど50分くらい歩き回っても一切遭遇しませんでした。お前どうなってんだよこのゴリラが！ゴリラァ！ あと体が冷えると生命の危険があるシステムがあるんですが、一度雨が降ると永遠に晴れないという地獄みたいな状態があるので、まだまだゲームと呼ぶには足りない部分が多いです。まあこれからです。さあフレにゴリラを投げつけろ。お前もお前もお前もお前もみんなゴリラになれ。 4月12日 / なんかアプデ来たんで確認がてら起動したら、なんと数秒でヒョウに会えました！ いきなり現れてテキトーに咬みついてきやがって、別に何も攻撃してないのに数秒でどっか逃げました！！　なんなんだテメーはよォ！！ゴリラァ！！！いやヒョウだけど！ヒョウだけどゴリラアァッッッ！！！！！ 4月17日 / 今回から巣が作れるようになりました。竹を2つ持ち、XとB同時押し（Xboxコン）で巣が発生します。巣では眠ることができます。まるでゴリラみてぇなすげーきたねぇイビキかいて眠る事で体力回復できます。今のところセーブとかは出来ないですが。あとなんかいろいろ動物が増えました。キリン、シマウマ、インパラ、ヒョウ、メスゴリラがいます。メスゴリラには好感度ステータスみたいなのがついてて、まあ毛づくろいとかすると好感度上がるみたいです。将来的にはこのメスゴリラどもを連れまわすんでしょうね。…まあ今はメスゴリラは胸から下が地面に埋まって微動だにしませんけどね。 これ以降は何かあればスレッドに投稿しますので、気になる人はこのレビューの上のほうの「おすすめします」の部分をクリックしてください。それはゴリラの事を深く深く想ってるって意味ですけど。

it is impossible to control

I really like the concept, but the game is still very much in early alpha stage despite being a full release now. The controls shown in game (lower right) don't match the actual controls in the settings, which of course is a huge cause of confusion. X is for fight mode, but nothing happens when pressing X. I tried every other key on the keyboard to try to attack or scare off the opponent, but my silverback would just stand there and take the beating. And I found no option to remap "scare" or "attack" in the Controls. Only "attack mode" itself can be remapped. Would be a bonus if it was possible to see the controls in the game without having to go to the main menu everytime you want to see what the controls are. There are bugs like predators not attacking your silverback despite standing literally on top of a lion or a crocodile. At other times they would attack on sight. The game wouldn't save my progress. Everytime I loaded a save, it would put me back to an earlier stage of the game. The same key (C by default) is used for sleeping/bonding. I tried using said key when next to another gorilla, but my silverback would just sit down and that was it. I tried waiting but nothing happened with the bonding bar shown on the other gorilla. The audio is completely wonky. The "music" option in the settings control things like bird sounds and the "sound" option didn't appear to do anything - not that one can hear, when in the menu anyway. When in the game sounds of the other animals were crazy loud when close to them despite of me having turned both the "music" and "sound" more than half way down. Somehow I got two achievements. Find Troop (Find all adult troop members): So there are only 2 adult troop members??? And you don't even have to go anywhere to find them, since they were within like 30 meters of where my silverback spawned in. Seemed pretty odd to not even have to go looking for them, since that is like the main part of the game (based on the description). Mate with your troop(You managed to mate with a troop member): Erhm how? I wandered around near the other two gorillas that I saw and tried to bond (unsuccesfully to my knowledge) with one as mentioned above, but at no point did I see any indication of mating occuring in the game - not even with a little text notification. There are other issues that I could list, but I will stop here. Overall I wish the devs would have stuck with the game and actually finished it properly, because it is a great concept, but there is no way that I can recommend it in its current state.

For now it is not a game.

Hey, I regret buying this, but I dig the passion. Hope there's peeps still sticking at it because I love Gorillas.

This review got edited 2/4-2018 from negative to positive review because of the good support from the developer. I need to Warn everyone before i say to much. This game is Very early access! . it realy need alot before it even are possible to play for real . It is more testing right now and help the developer with feedback. you cant even run around for 5 min before you run out of food(now fixed). It is almost impossible to turn around when you close to run out of food . When you finaly find a banan or coconuts on the ground . You cant eat it because you cant press "y" because it stand as gamepad option (now fixed). This game need alot of fixed and features , maybe some rework in grafic . But I always wanted to play a game where you are a animal trying surviving in a real simulator . Right now you can walk though trees and lot of the layout on the ground , there are not much sound in the game , the way the gorilla move and how smooth it feel is realy bad . it realy need alot of work before it would feel fun to play. But this idea for a game like this is so awesome . The idea that play a animal simulator from a perspective of a gorilla . i love that . The game is cheap , Everyone have a chance to give feedback to the developer to help with errors and feature in the future . I hope eveyone would look on this game with open eyes and maybe try give the developer a chance . Most of the things i pointed out in my first negative review , The developer fixed most of it in less than 24 hours.
