It is very hard for my husband and I to find a game we can enjoy together due to very different play styles. We are very much a hunter/gatherer kind of couple. He likes combat, weapon upgrading, and machine building. I like home building, recipes, etc. This game intertwines both elements so well with hints of a fascinating story that we are trying to slowly piece together as we play. We spent one Saturday playing this for literally 11 hours straight. It is VERY hard for me to sit and play a game for that long, I am usually an hour or two at best, lol. If you want a general vibe, think Minecraft meets Raft, but make it Steam punk. And overall, it already does many things better than either of the previous mentioned games do. We are officially 24 gaming hours in, and looking forward to keeping on. Would absolutely recommend giving a go!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

While the game is not bad and the graphics are outstanding, the dev's have really not added anything other than their personal love for capybaras into the game. Trying to find the elusive Capy Merchant is exhausting and I've now gone to the dark side and see it as my mission to remove all capybaras from the Islands I visit. Yes they were generous enough to include more enemies to fight with little more rewards or build items. But the story line in not advancing and still waiting for any update dealing with the Steamers. After a while you realize that if you visited a dozen or two dungeons than you pretty much visited them all. They say oh look for the jeweled chest for special rewards. Yea, most just have crap and nothing worth keeping. You can only collect so many weapons or armor before you realize that once you have the blueprint the rest become junk. And just like the dungeons, the underground railroad is another to avoid after the first couple times. Just find the blueprints and build them without needing to grunge through the multi-level setting. The NPC merchant mostly sell the same items with nothing really new introduced with the latest update. Currently the game lack any real progression (yes, understand it is still EA). If you want a game that repeats itself, this game in it's current form is for you. If not, save your money and keep looking to other games, at least until it is fully released. Editing for a few thoughts. To those who wish to disparage people by calling them "retarded" or such, believing that since I spend 80 hrs this week alone I more than received my money's worth. Your vile and toxic attitude and response just show just how bad the review and forum has become. Your insignificant and Steam if your reading this you might wish to deal with this problem before enough people get tired and refuse to comment or respond. No one has the right to belittle, name call or suggest your suggestions or comments are insignificant and we as a community must stand up and start calling it out and reporting them to Steam. To the dev team. I did enjoy your game but the lack of any meaningful advancement had me questioning if I should continue. I understand you are working on a timeline and will update when bugs and conflicts are removed. I understand that this is your game, your passion, and your current drive. As to the people questioning spending 80 hrs this week before commenting, I really wanted to find all the updates and explore what the dev team has produced. If I was a dev I would be happy that someone spent that amount of time before making a decision. I still semi enjoy Minecraft, and this game is somewhat themed the same. After the final version is released I may revisit to see what you have created. In the meantime enjoy your passion and take care.
This game has some potential, but there are two major problems that needs adressing for now : 1- The progression To progress in the game you need to craft better gear and upgrade your ship to go higher. For that you explore islands and clear dungeons. LOTS of dungeons. Dungeons currently are very repetitive and not really rewarding (some of them are very long to clear and dont even have a final boss / chest at the end, making them a complete waste of time). In addition, the only way to craft better gear is to loot the blueprint for it. This is completely random and can take a VERY long time for you to get what you want, forcing you to clear even more repetitive dungeons. A more reliable way to unlock new gear blueprints is needed because right now progress is a chore. Or even remove blueprint and just let me craft every copper equipement when I unlock copper, like in most similar games, and keep some rare blue prints for some unique or legendary versions of these items. 2 - The combat The combat seems to be based on parries and blocks. Nothing wrong with that; it works wonderfully in Hytale. The problem is that the enemies attacks need to be designed with that in mind. Currently, the enemies have almost no windup to their attacks and just flail at you non stop, combine this with a VERY slow and delayed parry animation and you get a very frustrating and unrewarding combat system, encouraging you to just outgear your enemies or constantly stuff your face with food to out heal enemy damage. Please, just play a bit of Hytale its combat is very well designed and enjoyable. The only thing Everwind combat needs is a liitle tweaking in enemy attack animtions and faster parry animations for the player (and maybe a bit of cancel animations to get some tight blocks in). I hear the game currently does not have a lot of content, but I didnt even manage to get to the end of it without being bored to death.
Note that this refers to the early access version as of 2026-06-07 - if you read this later, things may be different! This game does not have a story, yet, so right now it's basically like Minecraft, but your base is a ship and you fly around with it. There's combat, there's loot and yes, there are Dungeons. The game's mechanics do work well and the whole thing is really promising. Still, in the current state of the game, most gamers will really miss some kind of a reason to play. The building area for your flying base is too tiny to make the base builders happy, the islands are too generic to entice the explorers and combat is too simple to carry the game on its own. This is the nature of early access, and I don't complain about it, but if you expect something that really hooks you through story and content, you will be disappointed. Give it some time, though, the potential is absolutely there!
This game is deceiving. While it has mechanics that are pretty fun and a decent crafting system, you SHOULD NOT play this game with friends. Co-op being early access is an understatement. The game works fine in co-op in the early game, but once you have upgraded your ship to move faster, traveling breaks the game for all the non-host players. It caused many crashes and made the game unplayable for until a full reset of the server. One of our players even got their character fully removed, lost all their items, and took damage every time they jumped. I do think the game could be good, but they need to remove the co-op tag until SOME of the bugs are removed that are completely game breaking.
The idea is there, but the implementation is frankly not for me. I hate the fact I spent money on this game. I enjoy survival crafting, the flying concept is beautiful, but this game does what all survival crafting games do. Excessive grinding. ESPECIALLY the system for finding the 'recipe' to craft items. It feels like a chore just to play the game. I'm sure others enjoy that, but I do not want to launch a game to relax just to feel like I'm clocking in for another shift. My experience is multiplayer, so on top of what is above, I had to deal with enemy animations happening AFTER they already hit my character. My own hits not registering. The sheer amount of frame-drops/lag just exploring an island; saying nothing of the issues that occur flying to explore islands. Then there is the combat in general. It's a basic slash/block/slash/block on repeat for melee. Ranged is just be out of the AI pathing and just far enough that ranged enemies do not fire at you. Magic with the rods and "books" felt like I was trying to put out a house fire with a test tube. Armor is either god mode, or you're paper, no in between. Weapon material is either 1-2 hit kills, or you're slogging for 20+ hits, again, with no in-between. As other people have complained, blocks do not 'repair' after not being interacted with. When you build a house/ship and have to destroy something, your character often does an extra hit after you've released the key press, meaning you have to destroy the second item and rebuild it for it not to be damaged. The block items are also individual, you HAVE to create the specific wood plank variant for it to face the direction you want. Default goes one way, variant two goes up, variant three goes left, variant four adds extra detail. But when you break any of them, it returns to base material, forcing you to RECRAFT the variant. Just make it depend on where the player is facing like any other functional voxel game. Overall, game COULD be good, but I genuinely think the dev tests the game with dev-mode/god mode/op tools instead of actually seeing what the game is like from the player perspective.
can't unbind the drop from hotbar key. can't pause in single player. you can attack or use an item or tool while in the menu sometimes. your look speed is tied to your frame rate. if you pick up a different arrow type it will automatically switch to it.
I have played many survival crafting games and this games progression path and scaling has to be one of the worst. magic is terrible compared to melee and ranged aside from the costs for recharging staffs. multiplayer is not just a little buggy but unplayable towards the endgame with the lag and game breaking bugs. one of the bugs completely reset my character made it so i could not jump and could only move while crouched. I cannot remember when the last time i reviewed a game but if your playing this multiplayer i cannot stress enough that this is not the game you should get.
