AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10
This series is so damn good. I was very worried about the cast changing after the Sky trilogy but the Crossbell crew is just as great if not better. My second favorite trails game so far, only behind Sky second chapter and I look forward to playing the next one!
Another great game from the Trails series! Story: 10/10 Character developments and back stories are really well written and sometime give me so much emotions. Also the story that connects the previous sky series and here are so good that i can only sit back and read through the text while trying to hold back tears. Graphics: 8/10 This is definitely an improvement from the last series (SKY). In 2026 comparing it to modern HD2D games we'll there is more to be desired but im nitpicking. Gameplay: 8/10 Turned based RPG with the addition of orbment builds. It can be pretty confusing at first but you'll get used to it.

fckn masterpiece
trails from peaks/10 , simply amazing i have nothing more to say. Play this after peaks in the sky trilogy!
The Crossbell Duology is probably the greatest the trails series will ever achieve. New MC is more bland compared to Estelle and Kevin but the new main cast also includes two of my all time favorite characters. Don't play this before playing through the sky trilogy even though this is a game with a new cast of characters it is a continuation of the story full of callbacks to the previous entries.
This was crazy good. Crossbell does such a good job of capturing that "grassroots" feeling, you slowly begin to know your way around the city, and feel attached to the place you were assigned to, ofc there are some flaws but Falcom just really know how to get you immersed in a world despite troupes and cliches at times, you genuinely just cannot wait to see what happened next, and I think the setting naturally creates this sense of looming danger as you work your way up the ladder. I also think the immersion is super good in that in this game only (afaik) in this series, your choices actually matter in the side quests. Because certain options lead to certain outcomes and I really really like that feature because it puts you into character solving cases and I thought that really contributed to the experience. The SSS does such a good job of feeling insignificant at the start. The reputation of bracers precedes them and in contrast they are second rate, and not only that looked down upon by the rest of the police force, And obviously you want to root for them because who doesn't love an underdog story, and I think the first chapter with the downtown business made me immediately take a liking to them. One critique I will say is that it isn't TOO clear why they decided to accept the SSS offer (apart from plot convenience) but whatever. I also really liked the cast dynamic, I mean Lloyd was an alright protagonist (Hes a little too generic imo) and same with Elie to an extent in that narratively speaking i thought she was a bit underdeveloped, but Tio and especially Randy more than make up for the shortfalls of the former 2 emotionally speaking as individuals, although it doesn't really matter because the team chemistry is genuinely really good. And I thought Dudley's whole arc near the final third of the game was really good and it once again like gave a real sense of progression to the story and shows the growth of the 4 protagonists. This was a really amazing return to form and from my experience what falcom seem to do best, they just have a way of making NPC's and side characters compelling enough (I haven't even spoken about my two favourite side characters Wazy and Grace on this) like oh my days I cannot even express how good of a job they did making Crossbell feel like a real city, and I like this setting more because it had this familiar feeling. I also think the pacing was the best I've seen from trails so far. The first half was really good at establishing the atmosphere of the setting and I think political tensions were handled a lot better here, And I distinctly remember thinking
During the Schwarze Auction Infiltration
thinking wow I cannot wait to see how everything pays off and I sped through the rest of the game. Like I genuinely could not bring myself to stop playing and before I knew it I was done. All the plot points began to converge (more on this in a sec) and the emotional pay off was genuinely like 100fold and hit way harder than i was expecting. That said however, One recurring issue I've experienced personally with the game and series as a whole is the foreshadowing. I'm not even joking I guessed
Dr Guenter was the main antagonist the moment I saw the glasses
just because I've seen so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the frankly random plot threads they bring out of nowhere.
At least this time they can justify that he didnt need to sleep due to gnosis so he could live his double life but its a stupid plot twist
. The issue is that these twists are frankly arbitrary and It doesn't make me think back to scenes before which puts things into perspective. But honestly, Trails as a series just appeals to me so well that these the positives far outweigh the negatives I cannot wait to play Azure, Ive heard so many good things about it.
One of my favorite trails game This and azure go perfect together
Really fcking good trails game, one of my fav of the series so far along with cold steel 1 and SC. really love the chemistry between the cast
-Roaring Version- - https://youtu.be/W9RCeYqv37M?si=R0MFtv99Xusjc7W2
