About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

The moment the camera started bugging out when chatting with npc, I knew I found a diamond in the rough
has great potential although i fell like its missing some things like a ability to skip cut scenes and a few more character customization options other than race, sex, and skin color, and some glitches patched, also melee is certainly rough although i probably just haven't experienced the game enough. keep up the great work and im curious to see what the future holds for the game.

great game so far, only addition i can think of so far would be quest markers
interesting game, not for everybody.
I am absolutely loving this! There are a lot of Pros, but the one Con for me is that I used a line of credit given to me by Gromlaek the strange so its....its been difficult.
The game feels like a fever dream and somehow hit a part of me that’s hard to explain. The story really sparked my curiosity—why are you on this island, and what is about to happen? I’m genuinely looking forward to putting many hours into it and discovering where the story takes me.
Amazing so far!
When my boyfriend + I came across this game and saw that it had Co-op, we had to get it! You can entirely choose where you want to go in the game (ie. entering the tower vs exploring everything else around it) and the merchants/ townspeople all have diversity. There's silly encounters, things you have to pay attention to that come back around in future gameplay. Could easily spend a lot of time in this game.
my current struggles/ "negatives" about the game:
~i can't figure out how to progress my magic skill yet. ~Healing items can SOMETIMES be hard to find- feast/famine sort of deal. ---eventually you get enough money that it doesn't matter, but early on its a struggle. There is no penalty to dying, so even if you hit 0 Health it's not bad. If you are playing co-op, your friend revives you back to half health. ~When fighting enemies near water, they almost always jump straight into it and try to wrestle with you in there which is part of the silliness but can also be frustrating.
Lots of fun and good story. A bit jank at times but not bad. A bit easy though.
Only put a bit of time in it but I can tell this is gonna be a hit for me. Love the classic graphics Love the bones of the magic system. Love the dialogue. Love not relying on a floating marker. UI needs some work it seems very unity to me but not a huge deal. I'm gonna let this marinate before diving into it. But boy I can't wait!
So far so good. Ive had a good time exploring the world and hearing out any NPC I've run into. The game needs bug fixes and some updates to the inventory system but thats to be expected this early on. excited to see whats to come
