Hyper Light Breaker will not be receiving further development for the time being.

We’re incredibly grateful for all the money you’ve given us since Early Access. Please continue to stay foolish and buy our games for any future scams and frauds.
- The Arc Games Team
I was so excited for this game man. I felt the early access was flawed but salvageable and I was patiently waiting for more updates to get really properly stuck into it. I come back to check in on progress and see if its in a better place just to find the publishers have unceremoniously taken it behind the shed and shot it, but they still left their half finished mess up for purchase at full price. Absolutely abhorrent behavior on multiple levels, and I'm saddened Heart Machine will never be able to deliver the game they wanted to here. If you're reading this, Arc Games, shame on you. You are part of the problem with the games industry. Do better.
It's a darn shame what happened to this game. I don't think Heart Machine is entirely to blame for this, but a lot of risky moves were taken that did not pan out. It kind of feels like this was just way too new of territory for Heart Machine. The EA was not given enough time to develop before being released either IMO. This should not be full-priced if there is not going to be any more development.
Heart Machine made a fantastic game in a captivating universe with Hyper Light Drifter. This is not Hyper Light Drifter. In stead of making a sequel to the game, they created this roguelike game that seems unrelated aside from the name and some small touches in the style of the artwork. Then, less than a year after launching in Early Access, they killed the game. I cannot recommend anyone pay money for an abandoned and unfinished project, even if the gameplay loop inside is decently enjoyable. If you want to try a similar game not abandoned by the developers, try Risk of Rain 2 with your friends.
dead game. took our money and dipped.
The pathetic team at Arc Games has sunk another indie game yet again, let this be a lesson to all developers out there to take your business somewhere else.
Abandoned game. Do not buy anything from this publisher
